Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Virginia is interesting.

Polls are showing a very close race, with the R challanger Youngkin doing literally everything right while D McAlliffe is doing nothing right and screeches Trump so much even CNN told him to calm down. Also, that "parents have no place in education" soundbyte may actually be the silver bullet R's need to crack Virginia's D influence.

The problem with Younkin winning Virginia is twofold.

First off, its like an inverse Florida. In Florida, the Peninsula is essentially a tie to lean D, but then the Panhandle comes in solid R and overtakes whatever margin Democrats had if any. Virginia is at about a tie until they start counting North Virginia, which is full of DC transplants, and it swings heavy Democrat.

Number 2, they are pulling a California: they are sending out every ballot possible by mail. Classic Democrat fortification.

I'd love to see a Virginia rebound, but it is unlikely.
I'm old enough to remember when Virginia was a red state. Good times.

It's sad that the DC rot has seeped so deep into that state. I don't think it's beyond salvation like California, but the trajectory is certainly heading in that direction. Everyone with a functioning brain knows that if the media were actually honest in their reporting, then this election would be a slam dunk for Youngkin, too.

I'm also old enough to remember that what Howard Dean did in his 2004 Presidential Bid was more than enough to fully end his political career, and literally all he did was scream and cheer weirdly at a rally. The fact that a governor running for re-election has had a history of literal black face, and has very recently said things like "Parents don't have the right to know what their kids are learning in school" WITHOUT immediate and obvious repercussions that would end his political career is both disheartening and frightening.

The fucking news media, man. As much as we can make fun of their low ratings, they still hold a lot of influence, and it's obviously the stranglehold that big tech has on the flow of information right now, too. It is absolutely modern-day fascism that the corporate media and big tech can withhold, bury, and censor information.

The poll numbers for Youngkin are most certainly encouraging, but sadly, I am not optimistic about Northern Virginia nor am I optimistic about the mail-in ballots. I can't help but think that the fix is already in. I'd like to be wrong. Virginia electing a GOP governor would be yuge in this current political climate.

As it stands, Virginia has a chance to become the next Florida (remember, Ron DeSantis fought election fraud in FL in the '18 Midterms), or it has a chance to become the next CA. Make no mistake: If McAwful wins, I anticipate the approval of permanent mail-in ballots, just like Gavin Newsom Patrick Bateman did after he "overcame" his recall.

EDIT: This is a lil' piece of good news. It's anecdotal, but here it is anyway ... I know quite a few people who are volunteering for Youngkin's campaign. All of them have told me that they've been able to get an influx of people to volunteer as poll watchers and to fight for election integrity. I've also been told that a lot of people who have volunteered for Youngkin are Gen Z people, as the whole education system is something that they've been negatively affected by. Makes me feel at least a little bit better about our future, no?

At the very least, it appears that Youngkin's campaign isn't ignoring the concerns of election integrity, like so many other GOP cunts have been doing over the past year.

Every member of that fucking school board has blood on their hands. They knew damn well that they had a sexual predator on their hands. But rather than acting like responsible adults and protecting their students, they transferred him to a different school like the Catholic Church transferring a priest. This is beyond criminally negligent and every one of those board members should be in prison. At the very least, they should be sued into abject poverty where they die choking on some shit they had to eat out of a garbage can.
It's horrifying. They only agreed to a rape kit because the dad pitched a fit the day it happened.

So much of this has been allowed to fester because parents and citizens are supposed to "trust" teachers and have "faith" that they have their kids' best interests at heart and have only picked the very best curriculum and very best policies, and if you ask a question, you are sowing distrust and dissent.

We don't trust them. No one has had to "inflame" parents to make that happen. It's them. And they will pretend they are victims long after they are recalled and kicked out of office. But none of that hand-wringing over trusting teachers will ever work on these families again, which is why McAwful's line about being "bothered" by parents making accusations is COMPLETELY out of line.

Oh, but don't suggest that a single video in Minneapolis "stirred up" people to think things about the police that weren't true!

i mean the election before the nazis got in power they were in 9th place. could you imagine the person who got 9th place in the polls becoming president today? do you know how good your marketing would have to be to go from 9th to first place? it would be like if realme smartphones replaced iphones as the most common phone in the next 2 years.
Or you could do what Kamala did and just suck the right dicks right up to the top.

I also think it would be helpful if Trump held a rally in Virginia closer to the election, and Youngkin would be a fool not to utilize that.

I haven't heard much from Trump in regards to the Virginia election, honestly.
It MIGHT hurt more than help in Virginia. Purely because the only negative talking point McAuliffe has is that Youngkin won't completely disavow Trump.

But it's likely that Dems are doing more early voting anyway, so it might be a good idea to juice GOP numbers a few days ahead of Election Day, when turning off Ds won't be a big factor. It's just that Youngkin is attempting to draw Dems away from McAuliffe, so that strategy needs a delicate hand.

This election feels very now or never. If the GOP can't take it with all these factors working in their favor, then it's doomed statewide, but there's a bonus that redistricting will probably benefit Republicans in the future because Dems ragequit the redistricting commission. It could go to the very Republican state Supreme Court to draw the district maps.

I remember hearing somewhere that Youngkin was trying to maintain some distance from Trump. Probably due to fears of increasing Dem turnout against him if I had to guess why.

They should all go under the Mandated Reporter Act--the principal, teachers, each and every support person and school board member.

Yeah, D enthusiasm in the state is LOW. Youngkin's campaign seems pretty good, I'm sure they've polled whether Trump will benefit them or not.

I'm sick of the GOP playing the "muh optics!" game. I personally think it's hindering Youngkin when he sits on the fence about this.

If Youngkin accepted an endorsement from Trump, then I think it would energize his base.

The fact that he isn't "fully disavowing" Trump and getting crucified by the media for that anyway is just plain telling that the optics game doesn't matter. No matter what a GOP candidate does, they will be painted by the Democrats and the media as The Next Hitler (tm).

Fuck optics, and sling the mud right back at the enemy. People who care about their liberties and the welfare of their children want fighters at this point.

To me that sounds more like a guy who knows he can say anything because the fix is in more than a guy who's merely stupid. With the mail-in ballot bullshit going on in that race I think he's confident they'll rig it for him.

Wasn't VA one of the states that people were asking for an audit on?

The Dementia Patient's poll numbers keep dropping, he's just shy of -10 approval as of this post. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president-biden-job-approval-7320.html
That disapproval rating is just straight up now.

Also a very fitting song for Biden.
California has now banned gas powered lawn equipment and other small off road engines:

I can't wait until the rich realize that Carlos and Juan can't landscape their palaces with shitty electric lawnmowers that require 5 hours charge for 2 hours worth of work.
Or that they cannot sell generators to compensate for the rolling blackouts.

Yes, even though the Trump campaign wasn't fighting for Virginia, it has been documented that some funky shit went down on Election Night last year. Trump supporters really want an audit for VA.

I don't think that McAwful is stupid either. He's an arrogant and evil commie. I am hoping that doesn't mean that he knows the fix is in, but I could easily see that being the case ... Which is why I fully expect for him to make mail-in ballots permanent in Virginia if he wins. This election does mean a lot for both parties right now, and I don't doubt for a second that the Democrats would jump on the chance of "permanently fortifying" Virginia if they win this.

I'll say this right now, a man telling the constituents of the state that he wants to be the governor of that they have no right to have a say in what they're children learn at school is committing political suicide. If he wins, even by a thin margin, I'm going to be suspect. That's so far over the fucking line I wouldn't have believed it had I not heard the man say it myself.

They should audit the vote anyway if they win as well. If they don't I'm going to be very suspect of the GOP in that state to boot.

I agree, at this point it's beyond infuriating. They literally have other bases willing to stand with them but "What if someone doesn't like me, wah" nonsense. The problem with how far the opposition are going mud slinging isn't enough, it should have been done years ago but the GOP had to be "the bigger men." It's bad enough I've been having to talk to younger kids I know who aren't even mine to watch out for sexual predators and be weary of people around them who aren't in their best interest. Disturbing times is an understatement. It's even worse how many parents are just unaware or unknowing of how deep this goes. One example, a 13 year old in Florida was telling me he spotted a teacher acting weird around an underage girl and kept asking only her to stay after class to play "cards." Yeah, I'm sure that's why he asked only one girl in particular to stay after and play cards.

I completely and entirely agree. Every parent in the United States should have chills running down their spines over that statement. I know that Youngkin has been addressing the topic of audits recently; hopefully he's prepared to fight back.

There's a difference between "taking the high road" and "taking it up the ass." The GOP has been doing the latter for far too long, which is why I place just as much responsibility on them as I do the Democrats at this point. I'm sick to death of their fecklessness and then convincing their voter base that they're "just being the bigger men."

"Pretty" and "nice" words rarely get results when you're going up against political thugs, cheaters, and authoritarians. Action is needed.

When someone fights you or attacks you, then you had better fucking fight back to defend yourself. "Turning the other cheek" is basically just allowing these thugs to hit you in a different spot at this point.

True, but I think taking the high road is always a slippery slope into cowardice or repeat forgiveness. I wouldn't be advocating to instantly start mudsling, but turnabout is always fair play.

They don't know how to do action. DNC moles have trained them that "Action" means "Fundraising."

The closest thing to Action I saw recently was Rand Paul sending me a pocket (not really) constitution and information on a college republicans group. That's nationwide. Not local. Doesn't have a local branch. And it was a fundraising letter. For him, not the college republicans group. He wanted me to go to their website to donate to them, too.

Not trying to be facetious, I'm genuinely curious. What mud do you suggest flinging back at the democrats that'll actually stick with voters who weren't already going to vote for Youngkin? Especially something that either won't be wholly ignored by the media or manipulated back towards the GOP (like the kids in cages thing).

Have the balls to bring up the child sexual abuse within the Virginia public schools that McAwful supports so much, have the balls to associate all of McAwful's policies to Joe Biden, have the balls to call McAwful a goddamn commie who wants to take away all of Virginia's guns away from their law-abiding citizens, have the balls to call mass mail-in voting what it is: cheating, have the balls to tell the people that the "fuck Joe Biden" chants are patriotic as hell, etc.

There's plenty of stuff to work with, and there's no more time for pussyfooting.
