Not according to the stamp on the back of the envelope. Presumably they don't think Chris is high-risk enough for it to be worth checking his post for anything that might be a coded instruction to an accomplice on the outside. The only thing they'd need to check for is any post addressed to Barb, which I'm guessing they'd either just refuse to post, or hand over to the prosecutor.

I have seen so many people thinking he is playing the insanity up it's unbelievable. People really do seem to overestimate the level of deceit Chris' meager intellect is capable of, don't they? The guy is not only too narcissistic, but also literally too retarded to try pulling a Coldsteel Cruz and pretend to be insane.

I think they deal with a lot more incoherent crazy on the daily to be frank. This letter wasn't written with poop and actually was readable, like you could recognize letters and words. I feel it might be a step above a lot of others.

The LARPing and delusion is really hard to read, (it's beyond standard cringe at this point) but his concepts of right and wrong are interesting. If anything, he has grown up a lot. He understands that he has to take responsibility for his Mom's survival in living without him rather than feed his compulsive buying of innane shit that comforts him, which is well beyond where I thought he was. Disconnection from some of his obsessions seems to be doing him well. It sounds like he is playing up to his situation a fair bit ("please show people this and send money to my home please, I'm Jesus and also mentally ill") which isn't too foreign for him, especially for attention. (namely female attention) He actually has more opportunities to make positive changes in his life if he is open to changing his obsessions to helpful things.

Either way, this is far beyond autistic rage and /v/ memes. I don't know of the scope of his awareness of how serious this shit is, but it's obvious he needs to be away from Barb. This is harsh, but I think her no longer being alive will improve his life drastically. It seems like this is the only way he'll be able to fully separate from the womb, so to speak.

I was expecting that there would be something of a pull back by the prosecution at the first court date- bail set, maybe a lesser charge, or even dropping the case because Barb wouldn't cooperate. But none of that happened. I'm reading this that the prosecution is taking this case very seriously.

I disagree and I think once Barb dies, Chris is going to lose it in ways we can't even comprehend. Barb was, by her design more or less, the sole support pillar for Chris his entire life once the family began living together in 14BC. Every single problem he had? She would take care of it. Even well into her elderly years, she was the one doing paperwork and NOT Chris (as evidenced during the various macing trial continuances where the Chandlers somehow got the wrong lawyer and Chris basically blamed Barb in a childish manner like right out of some 50's Sitcom ala I Love Lucy). She is, in effect, maybe the only remaining stake keeping Chris tied to acknowledging that reality and what he believes are, in fact, two different things.

Plus, people far less 'gone' than Chris have just completely fallen apart once their mother has died, some even going full Psycho and dressing up in their clothes. Loss of family is something that is difficult even for normally well adjusted people, it nearly destroyed Chris when Bob died very suddenly. Chris, I don't think, is ever going to be ready for his mother to die.

Honestly, it's a nice break from the standard shit that gets sent out.
The majority of mail/phone calls can be summed up as pity seeking and begging, angry and borderline abusive begging, and the 'I love you' and 'I miss you' shit that half the time turns into one of the other two. When you get something like this, you read as much of it as you can stomach just because it's different and maybe a little entertaining.
