I walked down a side street today, saw a concrete wall that had hearts, "Kamala", "Biden", "Greta" on it, with a hastily scrawled "Donald Trump is EVIL" all in chalk. At first I thought this hero worship for political figures was yet more tasteless Democrat indoctrination, until I realized how high off the ground all of the childlike scribbling was. ADULTS did this. Popular among the crayon-eaters indeed.
I live in a pozzed blue shithole, and the march forward with higher taxes, constantly trying to write "equity and nannying for all" into their charter, don the veil, get the jab, num num gimme more regulations please has never ceased here. I was talking with a friend who got me on a bit of a rant. Tired of hearing about "evil wacist wight wingers" and the wicked churchlady witches of the '90s. Every single person who's tried to control my life, hated people for their skin color or their genitals, every controlling moralizing busybody in my entire adult life, without exception, has been a Democrat. We passed an old lady on the sidewalk who looked hopping mad when she overheard me. Friend got antsy and looked nervous. I just said "GOOD! I'm sure she's heard that Democrats are wonderful bringers of peace and light her entire life. Every single one of these fucks needs that scene from Mean Girls, the one where Janis is ripping into the main character telling her she's a deluded bitch who doesn't realize that everybody HATES her."

Its been getting difficult for me to get ahold of onions and leafy greens that aren't halfway to shit already, and thats when there's enough pickings to make it worth the effort at all. the Freezer section seems a bit leaner, particularly frozen veg, but not enough to really tell if its just a lazy stocker or actual problem. Canned and packaged foods seem fine for now.
Either way, got a feeling I should stock up on dried beans and potted meats while I can.
