I think those Holo facial button is more like “assist force facial” buttons since there’s quite a delay between the talents make a face before the software recognize it and reflect on their avatar. This is how the “wink” is pretty hard to make with the delay. I think those fix assist button are a pretty smart design since there would be a time which the girls are laughing but need to keep certain face on stream to play the character. Plus I think for “yandere tendency” character like Rushia need to have that assist mode since I doubt she could keep certain pose to activate the software yandere mode while talking for a long period of time.
there are female fan though very few. Holostars had a lot of female watching them due to Yaoi bait. While it’s true that Hololive main audience is mostly male but there are females and some mega fan who become talents down the line like the chicken or the entire HoloCouncil.
