Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Sure, but when have they shown any signs of stopping? Its obvious that they're going to collide head-on with reality, and in fact already have collided with reality, and yet they have Skinner levels of inability to stop and think about their own actions. "Could it be that we're out of touch with public opinion? No, its the plebians that are wrong!"
This is the most important part to remember: despite appearances, the enemy is not all-powerful machine constantly ten steps ahead of the game. They are, in fact, quite fallible and short-sighted, and often do way more to hurt their own interests than their opponents ever could.

Fair point, but then why would a Democrat Party consultant let the cat out of the bag and broadcast their plans well before the election even begins?

Not to sound like a coper, but it feels like he's subtly giving the VA Dems' plans away to the opposition to spite them while looking like he's gloating. Maybe the Loudon County thing has upset him? Who knows?

With Virginia specifically, I'd give that election a 50/50 shot of going either way given how much people are pissed at Biden, Northam, McAuliffe, the Loudon County schoolboard, and the NoVAcrats as a whole.

If it weren't for Fairfax County inevitably resorting to mail-in fraud and the NoVAcrats in general being corrupt and shady as fuck, McAuliffe would probably lose. Especially with the shit going on in Loudoun County (which is right in the heart of NoVA, of all places)

Virginia's shift blue was a lot more rapid and recent than California going blue and there is a lot more blood red regions that are less sparsely populated than the red counties in California and are more "traditionalist" in character.
Who knows is right, I just have serious doubts that a DC strong hold full of state and deep state workers isn't going to cheat to keep what you're saying is a recently acquired stronghold.

No dog in this fight at all. Just saying, people on the farms really thought Larry Elder was going to become governor of California...

NJ election seems like it'll be close. RINO that's running for governor is promising lower taxes and pointing out NJ is the most expensive place to live in the USA tax wise while Murphy is telling people to move out of NJ if they don't like high taxes and saying his goal is to make NJ the California of the east coast.

RCP polls are also interesting

Combine this with Democrat non election year attrition, Ciattarelli going hard on the whole Murphy killed people by sending them to nursing homes, and focusing on taxes, there's a real chance the RINO might win.
A +9 advantage still seems like a lot, but I do wonder on the methodology behind the polls.

While I have no doubt at all the plan is either to fortify the elections or somehow get the GOP back into Controlled Opposition status, another suggestion I heard that makes just as much sense to me is the timeline one. That the left was running on some kind of timeline, and Trump getting in disrupted it significantly. Thus now that they "dealt with" him they have to get us back on schedule even though they don't have the years of slow simmering to get us to accept this stuff at face value. Thus the "just shut up and obey us goddamnit" stance they're starting to take.
I think this is 100% the case. The plan was 8 years of a Clinton presidency during which time the pension bomb would go off, bankrupting state and local governments, and greasing the rails for direct federal control of everything, and federal control would actually mean CCP/globalist control.

whoops Trump

so instead of "your city can't make payroll and you're bleeding cops" leading to federal police, we get defund the police riots

instead of very very slowly accustoming people to using trackable surveillable digital ID, we get vaccine passports

instead of a slow attack on homeschooling and private schooling accessible to the masses being bad for women, a set up for incest, and racist (there was an anti-homeschooling conference planned at Harvard in 2020 that was clearly the beginning of a direct ideological attack on everything but government schools, I don't know if they ended up having it online or what) , we get the PTA to terrorist pipeline

and probably most importantly, instead of a slow erosion of small landlording and a controlled second mortgage crisis creating a groundswell of support for social housing, we get it happening fast and up in everyone's faces

Corona really was a Willy Wonka golden ticket for these people.

I see what your saying and her situation is a bad one and she probably is doing the best she can but she isn't doing the highlighted part. The administration still gets a shit ton of flak despite her being a bitch and unfortunately her bitchiness comes across as stupidity.

I can't say she's done a good job and by your criteria she needed to go extra hard by at least half an order magnitude to end up being the story herself which she really hasn't. Everytime she's in the news it's highlighted how dumb the administration is not because of her specifically.

That's not them coping. That's them letting everyone know they will be cheating. Again.
Why are they saying it two weeks before the election. Also has anyone else notice that if you look up Virginia 2021 election the first thing that pops up on Google are Keep Virginia blue or stop trumpism sites?

I wonder how much of this is bullshit?

SCOOP: Manchin Tells Associates He’s Considering Leaving the Democratic Party and Has an Exit Plan
Archive
In recent days, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W. Va.) has told associates that he is considering leaving the Democratic Party if President Joe Biden and Democrats on Capitol Hill do not agree to his demand to cut the size of the social infrastructure bill from $3.5 trillion to $1.75 trillion, according to people who have heard Manchin discuss this. Manchin has said that if this were to happen, he would declare himself an “American Independent.” And he has devised a detailed exit strategy for his departure.

He told associates that he has a two-step plan for exiting the party. First, he would send a letter to Sen. Chuck Schumer, the top Senate Democrat, removing himself from the Democratic leadership of the Senate. (He is vice chairman of the Senate Democrats’ policy and communications committee.) Manchin hopes that would send a signal. He would then wait and see if that move had any impact on the negotiations. After about a week, he said, he would change his voter registration from Democrat to independent.

It is unclear whether in this scenario Manchin would end up caucusing with the Democrats, which would allow them to continue to control the Senate, or side with the Republicans and place the Senate in GOP hands. In either event, he would hold great sway over this half of Congress.

Manchin told associates that he was prepared to initiate his exit plan earlier this week and had mentioned the possibility to Biden. But he was encouraged by the conversations with Sanders and top Democrats that occurred at the start of the week and did not yet see a reason to take this step. Still, he has informed associates that because he is so out of sync with the Democratic Party he believes it is likely he will leave the party by November 2022.
Manchin has repeatedly said that he has a significant philosophical difference with most of his fellow Democrats. He has told reporters that he believes major programs in the Build Back Better bill would move the United States toward an “entitlement mentality” and that he cannot accept that. In a recent meeting with Biden, Manchin told the president that he sees government as a partner with the public not the ultimate provider, according to people who heard the senator’s account of the conversation. He explained to the president that in his view Biden didn’t win the presidency last year by championing progressive proposals, and he pressed the president to recall his campaign promise to bring people together. He also reminded Biden that he has vowed not to support any package unless it contains the Hyde Amendment, which bans the use of federal funds to pay for abortions, except in cases of incest or when the life of the mother is at risk.

I cut some of the filler from the article, but this is essentially it. I wonder why this is being floated in the media - are they hoping to cut him off at the pass so to speak?

How would Senate control be decided? By how Manchin votes, or how he says he will caucus?

Either way, the GOP getting back Senate control through fuck-fuck games after not even a year will yield beaucoup de butthurt.

For what though? WV is already red, so they'd just select a R replacement. (Unless of course the replacement can be more easily bought.)
Okay, I was jesting. Out of the potential Republican replacements for Manchin though the GOP has has three guys. Alex Mooney and Carol Miller both supported Texas v. Pennsylvania and can pretty safely be considered loyal which leaves David McKinley, a probable RINO, as the Democrat's likely inside-man. Mooney has already expressed interest in running against Miller, the other two are probable candidates.

This is a Virginia Dem consultant.

If its "close" in Virginia, it'll be stolen in Fairfax.
I wonder how it feels, being able to tell your enemies beforehand exactly how hard you’re going to raw-dog them, knowing that they’re unable/unwilling to do a damn thing about it except lie back and think of the Nation. I’ll bet it feels pretty good, which is why you see so many of these smug assholes doing it.

The mere fact that the Dems need to "fortify" a state that was formerly safe like VA is all the information you need to know that the Dems are in trouble when the mid-terms come around. If Youngkin manages to win in spite of the "fortifying"? Oh boy are they fucking screwed.
