- This is much more of a psychological pandemic versus a biological one.

- We're in the beginnings of a totalitarian takeover.

These people don't understand that science is an iterative process. Indeed, they want to make science into a religion. The thing about religion is that it's a search for truths that are axiomatic, self-evident, and permanent. Such truths are emotionally comforting. They offer a bedrock for one's worldview, things that we can always fall back on when all else fails.

Science isn't about looking for "truth". Science is about doing the best you can do with the information that you have available to you. This pandemic is a dynamic, ongoing event with many different data points. What was true weeks ago may be false today, or vice versa.

Exactly. The moment people realize that they're being gaslighted and psychologically abused, the spell is broken. In order for the conditioning to work, people need to be convinced that there is a real threat. I stopped being afraid of COVID-19 over a year ago. Why? Because not only did I take all the mystery out of its pathological processes, I reviewed the mortality data and determined that we were being fucked with. I have talked about someone I know who's an expert in mental illness and personality disorders, so I'll repeat what they had to say, while some officials well tell you that MI and PD are around 10% of the population the expert I know put it at 40%. Here's a good article on that subject that got posted in this thread about 2 weeks ago. The psychological aspect needs to be brought up more. It's one thing to label the nonsense "totalitarian", it's a totally different thing to analyze how it's actually fucking with people and the direct parallels to actual totalitarian regimes. Sometimes I find myself amazed how many people from historians to psychologists are willfully blind to these parallels despite knowing better, but then I realize that they're falling victim to human nature and doublethink. It's the exact same thing as why the Soviets a century ago, despite claiming to be building a society based on democracy and equality, happened to build a society that in many ways paralleled the exact same Tsarist society they destroyed.
