- Population can be split into 30/40/30. First 30% fell for the lies and make up the most ardent, outspoken NPCs/bots. They feel no guilt or remorse towards others who disagree with them. It's as if they're struck by a religious fervor that can't be reasoned with. When you actually read between the lines of people lives in the 1940s. the allies were the true monsters compared to the axis, people starved worse in america during the 1940s than during the great depression. people were living on less than subsistance wages because those fancy factory jobs basically compelled people to donate any excess money to the war effort and your bosses determined what was considered "excessive money" and there was no one tracking those war effort donations either, so most factories were probably paying way less than the 30 cents they were supposed to pay for minimum wage work. Beyond that just the factories that got war contracts were basically FDR strongholds and anyone that learned to toe the line, its a lot harder to go aganist the government when they can literally starve your people.

It's one thing to label the nonsense "totalitarian", it's a totally different thing to analyze how it's actually fucking with people and the direct parallels to actual totalitarian regimes. Sometimes I find myself amazed how many people from historians to psychologists are willfully blind to these parallels despite knowing better, but then I realize that they're falling victim to human nature and doublethink. It's the exact same thing as why the Soviets a century ago, despite claiming to be building a society based on democracy and equality, happened to build a society that in many ways paralleled the exact same Tsarist society they destroyed.

One treatment for mental issues is humour. A lot of comedians have issues and that's how they cope with it, for example. This site is all about having a laugh so in a way if some of the content is having a negative effect on you if you're having a laugh then you're self-medicating.

If you notice, especially old comedians never end up overcoming their issues or treating their mental issues. fucking Artie Lange advanced more as a person being forced to work as a gas station attendant in jersey for 30 weeks than he did being a comedian for 30 years.
