I'll try to justify my question one last time.
I have a question:
What's the difference between watching a vtuber because they're "cute" and watching one because they're attractive?
I would never find a male vtuber "cute" because I'm not attracted to men. If attraction is necessary to finding something "cute", is watching "loli" vtubers inherently sexual?
(And don't say you watch them because they're funny. There are funnier men everywhere, but we still watch anime girls make funny noises instead.)
I asked if people meant "attractive" and "cute" in the same way when talking about vtubers. I clarified that my definition doesn't mesh with male vtubers. I then ask if the word "cute" could also have a sexual connotation. I asked to confirm my suspicions that this thread is scared to use any stronger words than "cute" so that Null doesn't nuke the thread from orbit.
I understand why, but I also find it a bad idea to act puritanical now after cover has released licensed coomer bait. You can't pretend this hobby is a bunch of selected, intelligent, and attractive girls with professional artists making them attractive designs BUT is actually intended to only be enjoyed at the level of watching a baby or puppy. It's a weird contradiction that I'm sure Null is aware of and might be why he isn't on board.
I guess there can never be an balanced reaction to things.
