Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

This is how She could still win.

Nominating her for VP would be one hell of a suicide note.

That being said, there's no way Kamala is giving up the VP seat voluntarily. She's sucked way too many dicks to get to where she is and she'll be damned if she misses out on Joe having one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel.

This sites userbase leans right culturally if not economically and many cultural lefties on here just can't stand that.
I have no idea what right and left even mean any more. I'm coming around to the idea that advocating for the workers to control the means of production and the provision of a comprehensive welfare system is actually "right wing" if it happens to be coupled with belief in a relatively small state, with responsibility for strong border control and immigration restrictions, light regulation of economic activity between individuals and collective actors, no special treatment of self-identified "vulnerable" non-economic groups, and sociocultural homogeneity (which is necessary when you enact a comprehensive welfare system, to avoid an influx of non-contributing useless eaters).

Neil and Jane have started a whole slew of "lol"cow threads where it's clear they've only been started because the author hates their politics.
To be fair, does there need to be any other reason, if they can dig out enough shit to laugh at?

This sites userbase leans right culturally if not economically and many cultural lefties on here just can't stand that. A&H's will always attract polispergs and the fact this site leans so convincingly right means that the politics sections discourse will reflect that. 90% of the "politics=bad" people on here are just butthurt lefties with a splattering of wingnats assmad that they can't post on the politics section without being disagreed with and negrated.

After the Nov election a lot of users (and some now ex users): Neil, Janedoe, HHH, BSC, Zedkissed, Muh vagina and others tried to get the right leaning polispergs to quit this site. The worst case was where Gustav was either doxxed or fail doxxed by Zed, but the others have tried smaller things to fuck with us. Neil and Jane have started a whole slew of "lol"cow threads where it's clear they've only been started because the author hates their politics.

I'm just here to openly laugh at lolcows, niggers and trannies -- all of the things I can't do elsewhere without being yeeted by butthurt jannies or leftist speds. The tears of the assblasted only spark joy in my overly cynical self.

I will (and I suspect many others will, too) fight anyone who tries to take the Farms down the same fucked up path as SA.

Virginia update from Baris:

Independents going to Youngkin by 10+ points. If the independents are a larger part of the electorate, Youngkin wins.

The election is all down to turnout now. McAllife needs his low turnout voters to have a chance to prevent current momentum from killing him. Which is why you are seeing a push for vote by mail.

In electorate standards, in a D+2 environment, it's even. If its more Republican, Youngkin wins.

In the 2020 election, Virginia was an D+4 inferred registered voter state, but the elecorate was D+2 in the presidential election. Something has shifted, where now Virginia is an inferred even state, meaning a 4 point slide in registered Democratic registration edge.

2 weeks ago, 33% have heard about the tranny raping a girl in a school girl's bathroom in Loudan County, to 50% now have heard it.

This shift and 10+ point loss in Independents in Virginia has major implications nationwide. He says that WI, MI and PA are all going to have Republican governors in 2022 if this holds.

It's getting interesting. Still not holding my breath because Fairfax.

Ratings got castrated because spergs couldn't settle for just derailing threads with flamewars anytime HHH or whoever posted a contrary opinion, so they started reporting each other's posts for "revenge rating", which turned it from a mildly irritating sideshow into a massive report queue for mods to sort out.
1. Thats a gay feature, I thought people weren't supposed to care about internet points.
2. Wouldn't it be easier to just disable it for A&N?

I don't know what's more interesting:
1) The fact that they had Joe Biden in person to rally for McAllife (I mean it's a short trip, but have you SEEN Biden lately).
2) The fact that they think Joe Biden would be a positive for the campaign at this point.

Agreed, and also because she doesn’t have her Senate seat to go back to

McAuliffe is going to be rigged into place no matter what, it’ll just be a lot more obvious than in the past.

Maybe they just tax all "potential" earned income as well, as in they can look at ones career and come up with a formula to calculate the maximum they could earn in a "good year" then tax that amount. That sounds so wonderful and progressive.

Or maybe take it a step further and calculate everyone's income on if they were say a brain surgeon, then tax that amount even if someone is a fork lift driver.

None of the above is really any less offensive than "unrealized capital gains".

The Dems are Nazis now? Man, they are really taking the whole “accuse your enemies of being what you actually are“ thing too far.

Wait, Congress actually passed something???

The era of surprise medical bills may be ending

(article)
  • The No Surprises Act, which takes effect in 2022, will greatly reduce the number of unanticipated out-of-network medical bills that many people are hit with during emergency medical treatment.
  • “These bills are really the epitome of lack of choice combined with high prices that people experience every day,” said Caitlin Donovan, a spokeswoman for the Patient Advocate Foundation.
  • Here’s what people need to know about the new protections.
Americans will soon be protected from many unexpected medical bills, thanks to a new law that goes into effect Jan. 1.

That legislation, called the No Surprises Act, will greatly reduce the number of unanticipated out-of-network bills that many people are hit with during emergency medical treatment. For example, if a patient finds themselves at a hospital where the anesthesiologist doesn’t participate in their plan’s network, they can be faced with costs in the thousands of dollars even though they had little or no choice in the matter.

One-fifth of emergency claims from private insurers include an out-of-network bill, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation. And 2 in 3 adults fear unforeseen medical costs.

Some insurers offer partial out-of-network coverage, but leave the person on the hook for the remaining tab, a practice called balance billing. Other insurers force patients to shoulder the entire uncovered costs.

“These bills are really the epitome of lack of choice combined with high prices that people experience every day,” said Caitlin Donovan, a spokeswoman for the Patient Advocate Foundation.

Starting in 2022, there will be only a few cases in which a patient can get an out-of-network bill for a medical visit that they believed was covered by their insurer. (Those exceptions include ground ambulances, any non-emergency service treatments at an urgent care facility and if you’ve given informed and written consent for an uncovered treatment.)

In addition, if your doctor moves out-of-network, the law requires that your insurer provide you with at least 90 days of coverage at your previous in-network rate.

The new policy covers nearly all private insurers, as well as plans on the Affordable Care Act’s marketplace. Balance billing is already banned under Medicare and Medicaid.

Come January, people should check to make sure that their medical bills don’t include these out-of-network costs, Donovan said. “If you get a bill and it says somewhere that your insurer paid ‘x,’ and you still owe this much, that should be a red flag,” she said.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is working to create a complaint process for violations of the law, and Donovan said it will be crucial that patients speak up if they suspect they’ve been balance billed.

“Otherwise, providers can continue to bill patients for the full amount and only refund the select few who know their rights,” she said.

Gotta do something to get those numbers up

It seems more like she doesn't want to be president anymore. She's putting up with emergencies and fighting for political points when she could be sipping wine on a patio instead.

I've been mildly interested in seeking offices in my lifetime but the trouble is I won't get anywhere being working class and not having a degree in something related to law, journalism, and/or economics which seems to be a requirement. FTR I'm early 20s.

State and local politics. You’re gonna have to climb the ranks.

I wonder if she can even go back to a senate life at this point. All the recent VPs elected so far has disappeared into obscurity, including our dear old friend Mike Pence.
