On the bright side, there are movements towards restoring certain breeds to their older, healthier past.

One notable example is the Retro Pug/Jug, which breeds a Pug with a Jack Russel Terrier in order to eliminate breathing problems. They aren't perfect, but I am glad that people are trying to create healthier pugs. They are also much cuter in my opinion.

Milking them and using them as sex slaves for breedable profit is one thing, taking pictures of it and using the speech they use is ANOTHER.

As for the likelihood of these poor babies seeking justice .. Probably not! Unless we protest personally and bring its attention to creditable pet charities. Organizations such as American Kennel Club support puppy Mills and try their best to snack down laws which prohibit it.
And a lot of animal abuse laws are uncommon for whatever fucking reason. Need I remind you of the lack of full justice served regarding the zooosadism incident.

This stuff makes me support vigilante justice. You reap what you sow.

This part really concerns me, if you want to diddle dogs I'm sure it would be incredibly easy to insert yourself into this community especially if you offer cheap reproductive services, after all these people call their dogs hoes.

Wanted to add this to the OP but couldn't find a way to weave it in eloquently: a very interesting study recently came out showing that extreme squish-faced dogs face social challenges around other dogs or humans because their extreme facial features can make it impossible to emote or show social cues. (NSFL content warning the study has photos of skinned dog heads to show facial muscles)

Basically imagine if aliens selectively bred a human to look permanently pissed off and had zero use of their eyebrows or face muscles to alter their expression. Not only that but cutting the ears off to be always pricked up can also be read as aggressive body language to other dogs. Finally some dogs even lack a tail which is the third main body language center in dogs. These poor creatures are trapped in a body they can barely communicate with, it's no wonder people always claim squished face dogs play best with others of their kind where they can all be dysfunctional together.

Eventually, the current breeding stock going to get too old/sick to create more monstrosities and wind up dumped at a shelter. Most animal shelters operate on razor thin margins and really can't afford to care for elderly animals that are unlikely to be adopted, much less ones that have massive medical issues and are so inbred that it makes House von Habsburg blush.

I don't understand why "mutt" is an insult and people boast about getting a "pure breed".

Literally the best and healthiest dogs you can get are mutts you find in rescue shelters. People I've known who had pure breeds whether it be pit bulls or beagles even, always had some issue with them at an early age, for example the pit bull had to have its teeth pulled at age 1, and the beagle back gave up at 4.

I will never understand these breed chasers and buyers. Just go to an animal shelter and adopt a dog that needs a home, you're adopting a family member after all, not a toy.

"Bred back" means breeding a descendent with an ancestor. In this case it sounds like a father × daughter cross except it's probably more like father/cousin × daughter/cousin cross because as OP mentioned there's four founding sires in this...well I don't want to say breed. Let's call it what it is; pyramid scheme.

It is the same with horses. Most fancy purebreed horses you see wouldn't survive in the wild because their hooves are too weak, as they are bred for "pretty" features and not so much hoof health. Mustangs for example are some of the healthiest horses because humans don't interfere with their breeding.
