Jfc, Joe's obsession with claiming that old-school male misogynists (à la stodgy French professor emeritus) and TERFs are constantly self-owning by revealing they seem him as a woman in the language they use is so ridiculous. As I've noted before, all Joe is doing here is revealing that it is he who continues to associate certain negative qualities (obsessiveness, cattiness, etc.) with people of the female sex; therefore, he assumes that when someone notes that he is displaying obsession, they are treating him as a woman, rather than as a man who also happens to be a fucking gross creep. It's Joe's leap of logic that's on display here, not his accuser's.

It's certainly true that many insults and turns of phrase are gendered. But his examples are pathetic and, to my mind, basically prove my point above. Off the top of my head and a quick Wiki search, let's see what literature, film, and pop culture from different modern eras have to say about "obsession":
