Phil is anything but unlucky. He had an extraordinary chance at fame and through repeated failures tanked it entirely.

Pewds said the gamer word and recovered.

Even after the incident Phil could have played the heel and been the King of Hate, lord knows how many cows make their living being hate watched. But he's a pathological liar, an alcoholic and a narc.

Note: Nothing to do with your post but I just caught Dave getting caught up on the whole pronoun thing, god almighty it never gets old to see him try and play the woke game, give it up Dave if those wierdos ever find out about you and start giving a shit you are so fucking done.

Then we need to pray Phil really does dress up as a monkey and start flinging bananas around - the online wokerati are bound to interpret such a sight as genocidal racism.

Does anyone else get the sense that the superwhale tipping Phil ridiculous amounts as of late is about to stop? Like an addict who needs ever-increasing amounts of the substance they're addicted to in order to get the same high overdosing? The amounts seem to be increasing in volume and this guy is eventually gonna hit a ceiling for how many hundreds of dollars he can donate every other day.

Phil's content has always been the laziest dogshit, his personality is moot.
Even if Phil was a hard worker, he is so dull, witless and lacking in any sort of entertainment value, it wouldn't matter. Sure it would be a bit better, but there is no getting past what a zilch he is personality wise.

Oh, this is one of THOSE streams where he dies constantly and blabbers nonsense as he dies, then repeats it and fake laughs and looks at the stream chat to see if anyone is finding it as hysterically funny as he is. These are without a doubt the most painful DSP streams to sit through… the streams where he is so desperate to be funny. That’s pathetic enough on its own, but Phil takes it to the next level by loudly laughing at his own “jokes”.

Oh, it worked I guess. There’s a $130 tip. I was mistaken… Phil truly is the King of Cahmedy.

God DSP must be hurting. First Pewdiepie then Keemstar. DSP had a head start and fumbled the bag while they got rich. Unlucky.

And the cherry on top, his best friend Reviewtech USA also double dipped on the action. I think stuff like this is way better than any identity fraud. When the ones calling him out have a bigger following and will just get more detractors to Phil.

Yeah but they've also got their own wheelchairs who could latch onto him. Exposure is the last thing Phil needs if we want to see him fail.

"You have to get lucky, there's no skill to this"

I can't think of a game that's more skill-dependent and unreliant on luck than Super Monkey Ball. What part of the game involves luck? Is there a dice roll that determines how fast you can move? It's amazing that even after getting $174, he's still his usual salty bitchy self.

Not to mention how he said he was "robbed". The apparent criminal stole from him and put his financial information up on the internet that's somehow not 100% accurate.. but it is... and they stole money by trying to make transactions even though they couldn't and now he has to pay for a lawyer to close and open a bank account and change his information with his autopay bills.
This is all part of the lie that he is likely building to, or at least referring to in order to offer his diehard supporters some plausible deniability when it comes to the leaks.
He's started to emphasize 3 points:
- He didn't catch the leaks for an unspecified amount of time (it's deliberately unspecified)
- Some kind of 'theft' happened that involved unauthorized charges
- The leaks were not leaks; the extent of whatever happened is vague and constantly expanding (meanwhile, we know it was just leaks)

When assembled, these pieces are meant to form a story where Phil's account was compromised for the entirety of the timeframe exposed in the leaks, and that someone was stealing from him at intervals of $16.51.
Basically, the narrative is that the leaks were real, but that the problematic charges were as a result of the account being compromised for an extended period of time and Phil somehow being unaware.

I don't know what's stopping him from just saying this. Maybe that he has never told a lie to his audience on this scale before and it crossing that line is giving him pause, or he sees it as too dangerous. Or it may be that he doesn't want to give any more than the vague deniability offered here because he knows that this is a difficult lie to stick to when it comes to details (for one, if that much money was being 'stolen' or that many attempted charges were getting blocked, there's absolutely no way he would not have known sooner). But every time he addresses this story, he throws in just a little more about these three points to imply more heavily that there is some elaborate plot at work.

I only remember one such Discord Server, from back in late 2017 that a fan made and tried to get Phil and the mods to endorse. Phil declined, said he'd never use Discord (lol), and then that particular server was swiftly taken over by former SOK lackeys like Kevan_VG LARPing as DSP fans.
Out of curiosity, and I'm sorry if you already mentioned this at some point, did Phil ever address with the mods using the Discord why he was publicly telling his audience for years that he had never used Discord and that there was no mod Discord? How did all the mods just fall into line with what Phil was saying and not even accidentally contradict him until the Discord leaks?

I'm always curious with stuff like this because when his mods turn up the day after something big like the leaks, does Phil say 'I need people to delete all mention of $16.51, and I'm going to say that all of this drama is because of SnowKarl', or 'Today I'm going to say that my earnings have always been public because the tip goal is visible, but you still have to ban anyone doing basic math in chat'? Because his moderators seem to immediately fall into lockstep on certain things without any apparent communication happening on stream.

Some kind of 'theft' happened that involved unauthorized charges
He pretty quickly retconned this to "Because I had to pay $1500 for this lawyer, I was robbed of that $1500." So he's already backed away from alleging that money was removed from his account and is trying to do some kind of Philian semantic argument that is still dumb as shit.

"This is why this one's hard. I played the easy mode and this one's hard"

Deep, insightful commentary you'll only find on DSPGaming, a content creator and pro-gamer with a 12-year legacy.

EDIT: His wife's gonna be "furious" that he's half an hour late. What the hell kind of relationship is this? Is this his wife or his mom? He's blaming a troll for making him unable to concentrate and he can't concentrate and moderate at the same time so that's going to be the end of the stream. He's on the last level in a mode with no checkpoints but because of his autistic devotion to The Schedule, he can't stay and try for another 30 minutes to wrap this up because his wife will be mad he's making money? And rage-quit on the very last level. $174 but he can't see the game through even though he's on the last level because fuck you.
