High Guardian Spice - Tumblr: The CalArt Anime

EDIT: Jesus fuck the second clip is literal tranny grooming fetish shit oh god. Nobody talks like that, and the shit he's describing is just basic shit. A lot of guys don't want to have hair all over their body it's why razors exist. Not a lot of guys want freaky large hands or the implied robbie rotten level of ass chin. Nobody talks about that shit as a gender thing save for people in scripts like this. They should have given him actual gross hands and the fuckyou level large chin if they wanted to put those lines in but he looks like a non-threatening calarts androgyny type ginger nerd kid.
This is the kind of shit that makes me sad. Feminine men must be trans women, and masculine women must be trans men - breaking down the gender binary, as these types like to say they're doing, be damned.

Feminine men must be trans women
If this is what Raye and team truly believes, that means all of the yaoi they obviously consume is secretly straight because all those ukes are actually women on the inside since they don't conform to masculine stereotypes.

Also re: magic tranny potion, since it has to be retaken every month, that means that once the tranny wizard dies, their body will return to their original sex after a month (if not immediately upon death) and should the body have to be exhumed for any reason or archaeologists find the grave and study the skeleton, they will determine it a female skeleton and that it always was. Raye didn't think this through, did she? :story:

This is what they actually believe, because unlike the fujos of yesteryear, the fujos of today can't openly like yaoi (unless they're transmen) because that means they're fetishizing gay men which is wrong. But if the uke is secretly a troon, then that means it's okay to fetishize gay relationships.

When people ask me why I'm not interested in Western cartoons, I only have to bring up this abomination as a microcosm of the industry as a whole. Janky propagandistic shit like this only adds fuel to my belief that this industry will never recover, at least not anytime soon. Talent has been shunned in favor of virtue signaling and nepotism, and that's best exemplified in this show. It's much easier to tow the party line than to actually be a competent creative after all.

By the way, @Kari Kamiya, I read all your insightful posts regarding Higurashi Gou and Sotsu, and I'd like to ask: Is this worse than those two shows?

The magic potion is what the "temporary sex-changing spell" would be if I wrote it, it would be more fitting for disguises

Since straight=evil in these kind of shows, I'm pretty sure the main girl will eventually be lesbos with the cat girl or the bully girl, I'm fucking calling it. If it ever gets a second season, that is, and it won't lol

Also, I'm honestly surprised that there's no uwu yaoi MLM couples, considering that Raye herself is a huge fujo. There aren't even references to YOI or SK8 or whatever the fuck fujos are into these days.

Hey, what the hell, Raye?! Why is there no gay representation in your show?! You fucking homophobic nazi bigot

“I don’t wanna be a manly man, I wanna be weak and have smooth skin”

NIGGER YOU’RE ALREADY THREE DAYS AWAY FROM LOOKING LIKE A BUBBLEGUM PRINCESS.
He didn't say he wanted to be weak. he implied that women were stronger than men lmao.
If tranny magic and other kinds of reality altering magic exists why can't hand-smallening skin smoothening magic exist for this simp? Whys it gotta instantly be "DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT... TRANSITION MAGIC?" I know I know, politics but shits fucking dumb lmao.

Caraway should have asked the femboy first if he wanted to be a girl in the first place, not assume he wanted to be a girl

The writing and acting is even more heinous than I thought, the backgrounds are flat, flat, flat and look like something out of a justly-obscure 1990s "point and click" adventure game. The character designs are atrocious, stiffly drawn and posed like they're in a shitty cartoon sitcom. Supposedly the production "had" to hire less experienced "beginners" for budget reasons but there are 17 year old amateur artists on Tumblr who can use perspective and dynamic poses. But the storyboarders on HGS-type shows that seem to have been purposely conceived as shipping-bait for neurotic adults don't even think about that and have the cinematic sense of a gamer webcomic artist. These boarders have characters in the dull 3/4th perspective because they don't bother to think about how to make stuff cinematic and atmospheric, not because they're "beginners" they just want to hurry up and get the drawings finished for the kawaii OC shipping.

I saw a clip and it was god awful, some character says she is transgender and says something along the lines of"I need magic to be the real me" thats fucking stupid.
Make whoever that was a tomboy and tell MC that princess can wear suits and kings can write poetry, or something like that, thats a much healthier message.
Also, wasnt the "assigned at birth" an observation by Foucault? Why that concept be present in a medieval setting?
Nice backgrounds.

Yet such a dumpster fire.

What does he mean by "egg status"?

The leftists’ complete lack of imagination (and, thus, the persistent need to make fiction match reality) is again their downfall.

You know the cool thing about fantasy fiction? It’s fucking fictional and it’s fucking fantasy, so you can use it to explore ideas that would not be feasible in a realistic setting. Like, wouldn’t it be way more interesting to explore the implications of a society where literally anyone CAN seamlessly and perfectly change their gender with no drawbacks? How would such a society differ from our own? You can do interesting things with this idea, and additionally use it to work in commentary about the real world. In fact, I really like it when sci fi tries to explore what an actual alien reproductive/sexual structure that’s completely separate from human preconceptions would look.
Ian M. Banks Culture series delves into this very subject down to the nitty gritty tiniest detail. Albeit with the fuck huge caveat of these 100 plus species of humanoids (and other non humanoid species) aren't homo sapien that are on in real life Earth.

The sex/character change potions sounds awfully like those from the Log Horizon franchise. Except the Log Horizon potions are one and done permanent and rare AF to find.
