The number of emote slots is based on the amount of members you have, so we can get a rough estimate, especially since lack of emotes (he's at either 20 or 21, depending on if he has hit 300) is something he complains about. I don't know if he has hit 300 yet, but once he does he gets another emote slot. Then at 350, 400, 450, 500, then every 100 (until 1,000).

Option 2 would be to gift subs to totally random YT folks (best case: friends, family, etc.) in the hopes of convincing them to check him out and become actual members themselves, which is how gifting memberships should work; but knowing the wheelchair convoy they'll just spread out the 'organic growth' to socks and zombie accounts like on Twitch.

That's the problem with his attempt to go viral: he's a one trick pony, and it's not even a good trick because he doesn't go all-out with it. He refuses to be laughed at while bathing in tips, so he fucks himself out of the latter and only gets the former. Like an idiot.
The worst part is that Phil knows that, but it never gives him pause because his immaturity is too strong. It doesn't matter what he's aware of, you offend his delicate sensibilities with anything he doesn't like and out comes the temper tantrum, every time.
And I seem to recall more than once during the Twitch gift sub spamming, someone would get the DSP sub and publicly announce how offended/shocked they were.
