DSP fails to hit October members goal​

This is my main gripe with Phil for months now. He feels the need to play only trash games and tries to rationalize it. My theory still is that he just fears to fail. So he only plays, outside of Monkey Ball, only special needs games. The jokes, the TIHYDPs completely destroyed him. It might be the third day in a row he tried to justify the utter boring games he choses.

"We started this month with about 290 members to my channel DSPGaming here on Youtube*. But sadly this month did not stack up as I had hoped when it came to the games that I played. And what I mean by that is not that the streams were bad (lol) but the games weren't very exciting, okay. Most of the games that I played this month were rehashes, remakes, re-releases or sequels that were incredibly similar to the games previous. In fact, I would argue the most interesting and original game I played this month was House of Ashes, the newest game from the Dark Pictures Anthology but outside of House of Ashes, everything else this month was basically kind of a redo."

He then proceeded to talk again that this year's October had no games to offer ("Frugaltober"). Nothing he could do. It was the games industry's fault. Who's fault was it before?

How incredibly disingenuous from him. He picks the games himself and all of them were shit (for streaming (with his personality)).

He really is a fuckin' idiot for holding off on Metroid for the whole month. EVERYONE was playing it, experiencing it, fumbling about it, talking about it. But no, this tard is incredibly afraid of failing and he must have knew this is one of the harder Metroids, and it's made to be almost linear(not as much as Fusion) but still has some fancy shit to it. It was going in a direction just for people like Phil which it gets criticized for.

Yes Phil, it couldn't be the tech industry, history of Asians in the Western states. This was sort of true in terms of why Asians were brought over for the railroads, when people travelled by steamship, not you know, planes.

When the anti-Chinese labor laws were enacted in Seattle, causing them all to leave, it left a labor void that Japanese immigrants quickly took advantage of. Both of these massive waves of Asian immigration happened because Seattle is the closest mainland city to Asia. Everything else that followed springs forth from that.

Technically Hawaii is closer, obviously.

I think it's been discussed before, but the general consensus is that he actually carries this hatred from his Street Fighter days, right? It's not his local neighborhood or something since he described it as an "african war zone" or whatever (real subtle, Phil).

If you go back and actually pay attention to a lot of his anti-Asian sentiment over the years, for a long time he had a weird hate-boner for Taiwan specifically. Gotta be a funny catalyst behind that one.

1) he doesn't EARN the money he gets, he guilt-trips viewers into tipping him by feigning distress or constantly banging on about how slow the stream is, and 2) if his streams were truly crowdfunded he'd be living on like $30 a day because that's about how much he makes naturally without sending out begging Tweets etc.

He's convinced himself that people drop massive tips because they "enjoy his content" therefore he earned the money via entertaining them and therefore is allowed to live like a king. No buddy, 99% of large tips you get are a result of pity or para-social guilt. Your wheelchair fanbase gives you money because they feel bad for you. They're not entertained. They have an unhealthy relationship with you that you knowingly exploit, because you're a piece of shit with no morals.

Ironically, the people who give you money because you entertain them are the trolls lmao.

Not wrong here but it is deeper than that, before EVO 2005 Phil and the crew were traveling the country playing Fighting Games, mostly on personal loans that Phil took out and defaulted on years later.

Meanwhile he saw FGC Pros from Asian coming over to pay at big National Tournaments, getting spending money, uniforms, gear, free rooms and board, and on top of it they would beat ass and leave.

To Phil the early days of the FGC was like Pro Wrestling, you talked shit, fought, and continued the shit talk. Yet in reality he was a just a jealous asshole, real FGC guys didn't care who they played they just wanted the best. Phil wanted the clout, but he didn't want the kind of clout he received.

That is perhaps the greatest detractor victory of all, the absolute destruction of his streams through making fun of him using his own footage for over eight years now.

Speaking of which, somebody once remarked (either here or at the now-defunct subReddit) about how Phil's detractor videos tend to use prior footage of Phil talking about things over the years to debunk his current lies, and asked whether Wings or LTG had that same type of tactic used against them. As I recall, the reply this user got was about how Phil was the only one who had opened his big mouth enough over the years, spitting out whatever lie happened to be on his mind, to be able to use his own words against him in such a consistent manner.
