I feel too old to understand what a femboy is but my thoughts from the 4chan OP... The guy wants to wear cute clothes and many men feel awkward trying on anything beside jeans and a t-shirt so he thinks being a woman will fix this. He also seems a bit fat and is posing as a woman in the pic because he feels more attractive that way. Second thing is AGP behavior but I think it's not predestined to become an AGP... like if you just realize you hate your fat body and need to lose more weight. First one is misguided when what you really need is a crumb of confidence. Idk, I always thought calling it a disease was a goofy, but well intentioned, way of saying it's not the addict's fault. But it is their fault. Nobody's forcing them to consume drugs or booze. Not sure who is being helped by destigmatizing addiction - maybe the stigma helped keep people sober. Maybe the stigma against trannies helped stop guys like this ruining their lives.

12 steps and prayers definitely work. But only for people who were determined to quit in the first place, in which case it might just be a placebo. But a placebo that helps people is a good thing.

I read somewhere that women’s fashion never gave up the corset or the bustle, it simply put the onus on women to sculpt their bodies into that shape, rather than modify it with clothing.

I think femboys could be just cross dressers or to girls or whatever and that’s fine. But if the above idea is correct, attempting to sculpt their body into a feminine shape (rather than buying some padded lingerie or a corset) might be whats triggering troony thoughts.
