Sorry ig this was brought up already but I forgot they had ducks and I was like, ”man I really want those ducks to swim.” Because that’s what ducks do. And my 2 second google search tells me that ducks not only like swimming, they need it. And if they aren’t swimming regularly, they will need about 1 gallon of water a day to drink per duck. Now I don’t know if they got special water-less ducks, but fuck, there seems to be no water in sight on the tranch. Yer an “insider” said they shouldn’t get any con money. If it was Donation off other tables then wouldn’t they pay direct? Makes no sense to go through the convention.
This explains a lot about why Bonnie was so easy to just uproot everything and quit the ranch which was his dream.

Ideally, The ranch should make enough profits to cover the welfare of the animals.
The Amazon wish list should be used for creature comfort‘s. Saying “we spend all our money to make sure the animals are happy and we live a basic lifestyle, if you would like to help us have a little bit of comfort them please buy from our wishlist”.

I thought being a settler was a bad thing. Colonialism and all that. Shouldn't they give ownership of that land back to the indigenous people who owned it before some white people showed up and stole it?
Have they really blown through all of the Earl money and still somehow don't have coats for the alpaca (who really need it since they sheared them at the wrong time)? The animal part of this is what really makes me MATI. If they just want to live on some troon compound / commune, fine. Better to keep them isolated from society anyway. If I lived near them, I'd be tempted to throw them some cash just to keep them contained there and not moving into town. It's the animal neglect that pisses me off. Those poor creatures don't deserve that.
If that is yucca, I hope the animals don't try to eat it. At least some kinds of yucca are toxic to cats, dogs, and horses. Not sure if that goes for alpaca as well..It is super pointy and sharp (I've sliced my finger open pruning my yucca houseplant) so they would probably avoid it. But it would suck for them to get poked or cut by it.
