Looks like all the MRI is picking up is the cranial blood vessels, Agree with you there are no tumors as far as I can see. If there were some tumors there would be obvious coloration changes. The only areas like are the blood vessels which you would expect with a contrast MRI. Only possibility I can see is something around the pituitary gland and the cerebellum on the first MRI pic but the second MRI shows both are probably nothing.
For example, here's a pic a microadenoma of the pituitary gland
:
Note the dark area in the pituitary gland compared to a normal pitutary:
Here's an example of an astrocytoma; which is one of the most common adult brain tumors and is more common in males and those over 30:
You can see how obvious it is when scanned in T1 and T2, while it's a bit more difficult to pick up in T1 with contrast. Raises the question of why Ripley decided to choose the format that really doesn't show much.
Other lesions should be much more evident, for example here's multiple sclerosis:
Note all the circular lesions throughout the brain. Whatever problem Ripley has, the MRI's he posted doesn't show any clear problems, but I'm not radiologist. Has he ever mentioned why he needs a neurology consult?
