I stopped watching when Jim showed off a tweet he posted in response to Erik Kain’s response to Kotaku’s article about a new FNAF game in which the author called Cawthorn “weird” and a “Christian.” Jim defended Kotaku by stating that Cawthorn IS weird. When you have to dress up the way Jim does to feel “comfortable” and “like yourself,” I think you’ve lost the right to call anyone else weird. Even more mystifying is how he claimed Cawthorn’s donations to Mitch McConnell was evidence that he supported Quanon adjacent politics, as if McConnell has ever supported that movement. But it doesn’t matter because Jim and his followers have flattened all their opponents to the same thing. And with Jim’s girth, flattening comes easy.

As far as I'm concerned, whenever a public figure starts assuming they're entitled to whatever they get from the general public, that's when they cross into lolcow territory.

The problem is hubris from being catapulted to success on the back of cultural trends. That cuts out technical and personal development.

When general cultural interest starts to fade, they're the last to notice. The best lolcows will misinterpret what's happened and try to chase cultural trends.

They'll pick wrong because they are missing the required skills to reinvent or pivot their content. The results are often hilarious as seen by Sargon ruining a political party, Jim trooning out, and Jordan Peterson existing.
