Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

There was a literal conspiracy to not call it in 2020 so they could print the votes needed at 4 AM for Biden

Either they didn't realize they needed to do so in VA2021, or the political capital check bounced, or the ongoing Uniparty civil war made such organized manipulation impossible.

You will note however that IIRC all the people who have called it so far are second or third stringers. Your Fox News, your CNNs of the world aren't calling it until they see if they can feasibly rig it.

Either one of two things happened. Probably a combination actually.

1) The lead is SO BIG for Youngkin that they can't cheat without it being so fucking obvious that they can't even dispute it.

2) They've lost the "political capital" as Gehenna would say, so they have no more favors to call in or promise and there simply are not enough "true believers".

They -need- to though. That's the problem. Losing another seat to the Republicans who will resist anything they do at an executive level is bad enough, having it be a state Biden won is even worse, losing all of it is just catastrophic.

The capital would be used from above to help organize and smooth over areas of contention. The on the ground believers can still work more or less unhindered but... severely limited without that overhead help.

bro you should go and read the historical media from pre WW1 US. it was alot more crazy and partisan. In my state (KY) we had a banker write a article absolutely ripping a state senator a new one, and in response the senator also wrote a scathing article. after the senators article circulated they had a gun battle in the middle of the road, the senator won and would go on to run for governor and stole the election (he had ~4k votes less than is GOP opponent) but was only governor for 4 days before he was killed by a sniper thats nest was inside the state capitol building. The sniper is believed to have been the GOP opponent or one of high ranking campaign staff. no charges.

in the 1900's the media really mellowed out and are now going back to their old ways. it will get as bad as it was but it hasn't yet.

I understand your point, but this lead is just too big. This is a massive catastrophy for the Democrats.

They are getting their "Delta variant of Trumpism" narratives ready as we type.
