The decision to move Ryan's thread also kind of baffles me since he's also a literal nobody. Though, I think it should also be noted that threads in Spergatory aren't "dumped" in the typical fashion. Some others will probably be moved later

The thing is though, Infinito's whole existence is based off of Orbiting Chris or Chris's own Orbiters, his channel is 99% Chris, aside from a couple of fucking Lego videos lol. He's definitely a lolcow and his thread was still extremely active, there's people from his discord running homosexual operations and trying to SWAT people critical of GiBi, and GiBi constantly lurks the Farms for info and to find people he can fellate to get info, then turns around and shit talks the Farms at the same time.

(where it will be cwcly buried under posts by youtube newfags/weens/fanartists and the like) or will the subforum be partially reopened for such exceptional cases?

i am a bit confused by the decision to do this but i trust null's judgement. the lack of activity from Bella et al has resulted in a marked decline in the quality of posts, as well as an increased amount of dead horse beating and schizo posting. though if it were up to me i would've locked the subforum while still leaving it visible & accessible from the frontpage, but that's just my opinion.

Computer engineering has a heavy electrical engineering component because unlike computer science which deals almost exclusively with software computer engineering also deals with the hardware. Electrical engineering is the most math heavy of the branches of engineering. Circuit work is a lot of calc. Don't be an electrical or computer engineer if you're not great at calc and linear.

I graduated with the same major, I'd describe it as a mix between electrical engineering and comp sci. It's not as math intensive as you think, in my program every eng student had to take all the same core math courses (calc 1, 2, eng math 1-2-3, discrete math, linear) and the ECE/mech/civil specific courses would just expand upon that.

Let's see.. circuit analysis, pretty simple integrals as long as you know the formulas for inductor and capacitor currents/voltages.
control systems, same thing. Designing a PID controller isn't too calc heavy at all.
The only hard ones were signal processing and comms systems because of annoying continuous or discrete time fourier transforms that could take pages to solve, and filter design / window functions.

The other half of comp eng programs generally have little math involved, like digital logic (actually fun to play around with FPGAs), microprocessor systems/interfacing (assembly is also fun). Always thought civil was a bore being so trig based with their truss analysis stuff.

Anyway comp eng is great for people who want an understanding of both hardware and software.
