My guess is they're counting on one last winter of this to maximize Pharma profits since lifting restrictions in 2022 gives them a boost in the polls. Statistics show that before the order is suspended, many companies will initiate mandates and cowardly people won't hold their ground and will submit thus increasing Pharma profit. But that's what I said this time last year, so who knows. They absolutely love the "pandemic", it's incredible how far their devotion toward it goes.
yeah, I expected them trying to memory hole it same time last year already
like this. what's even more baffling it's not even a burger problem, you could understand the dems being retarded and trying to milk that cow till it's dry, but they're pulling the same shit in europe too.
if the thing about the pfizer contracts is legit it might explain some of it, but even then if that comes out that is political suicide for whole parties, and the more people get sick of that shit the more people will get pissed enough to look into the whole mess.
the smartest choice is just to bow out and let something else replace it in the public conscious, yet here we are.
I do wonder if, in the long run, it would have been better for them to lose the 2020 election. it seems increasingly like they had the external problem (trump) and the internal problem (party fracturing), and they need a reason to split the party, cut out the bad part, and re-establish themselves. But to do that, they need to lose. Rather than dealing with the fracture, they just fixated on trump to try and unify people. but in the long run, that's made every single politically-minded citygoer open and very combative.
I've posted that thought last november, winning a battle doesn't necessarily win you the war.
you gotta remember it's easy to dismiss a whole group as idiots, but that's a mistake because it makes you underestimate your opposition. I can pretty much guarantee you there are dems who see the same thing we see and come to the same conclusion, they're not all assclowns on twitter, and the schism didn't suddenly appear after trump lost.
as others mentioned look at their candidates in 2020, if biden is your best worst choice, you fucked up. they already had the problem they gonna have in 2024, but now it's even worse.
another thing is the lack of long term planning, I assume a part of that is they're only able to react, not act. imagine you're in charge to lose an election without losing too hard, and then on the rare occasion your candidate comes out of his election cellar he locks in a female poc as vp. after the summer of love 2020 when you literally can't walk back from that.
now imagine you see the election results in november and then in horror it dawns on you not only did you win, you won in probably the worst way possible. half the country thinks you cheated, and if it ever comes out your party is done (same notion
@HTTP Error 404 had if they get caught in the act in NJ). which is probably the same reason part of the gop swamp creatures had no interest in an audit, because it would drag them down with them (like they didn't want people to look too hard into ukraine back then).
and by winning you not only lost your big unifier trump, you're also not the opposition anymore who can just bitch and moan without ever having to do anything. the easiest way to shut up your loudest critic up is by putting him in charge, either he will step up or implode magnifically, but definitely shut up.
also this:
Honestly, it probably would have. If Trump had won, he would be the one saddled with (some of) the issues Biden is now facing, while giving the Democrats an even bigger target to rail on in a united front. Instead, Trump gets to exit on a high note, having “lost” with literally historic Republican turnout and seen by a vast majority of his supporters, who are now more fired up than ever, as a martyr of election fraud. Basically, he left office at the best possible time, allowing blame for COVID, shipping issues, and gas prices (which still would’ve been an issue under Trump, to what degree we will never know) to be blamed on the Democrat’s policies while leaving himself an opening for a massive comeback in 2024 against a severely crippled Democratic Party.
it would be less severe because for starters the admin would actually be coherent and not a bunch of "adults back in the white house" trying to constantly punch each other in the dick or have catfights.
trump is also a business man, if you can work around the mafia in NYC in the 70's and built a fucking tower, pissing in the muesli of some port authorities and unions to get rid of congestion shouldn't be that hard, even if they're in california.
