I will say that Richards may not be wrong in letting Binger badger a witness that Richards knows it on his side. I’m sure the jury is wondering why the prosecution brought McGinnis as their witness when he blows up their case. He’s probably going to be the most credible witness. He’s a reporter and was there to document things and he doesn’t seem corrupt like the cop or a piece of shit rioter.

McGinniss handled his wording carefully when answering pros. Felt like they were going in circles, as if he was explaining a concept to an exceptional individual that just didn't understand the words coming out of his mouth.
I think that’s why the defense didn’t interject To me it seemed like the prosecution was trying to manipulate him into saying what he wanted to hear
Out of 19 jurors, does anyone here honestly think not a single one of them has a functioning bullshit detector?
Will a surprise witness from Oregon be called up for the defense?

Lol, for the record, this is not me. But I wish it was.

I just got to where McGuiness said Kyle was cornered and had to turn around. I think Kyles lawyer knows they're on the same side. Knowing that I probably would only have objected to the hearsay about pointing the gun.

Tbh hearing the jury selection did give me hope. More than one of them is armed and at least one got a weapon because of the riots (it was also a woman). We’ll honestly have to see what happens with them. Could even be a “what if your child was being attacked by a sex predator” tid bit

If anything he didn’t shoot enough rioters.
Morally would've been the right thing to do but optically it would've fucked him, imagine if he'd shot the black guy who jumpkicked him then ran away and we had to hear over and over about how he shot the only person there whose life mattered. The simple act of him shooting a kang would be his 9 minutes on the neck moment and he'd be fighting that the entire time.

That one juror needs to make it into the final 12 as well

>this whole trial is going to be an uphill battle for the prosecution
As it should be when you try to railroad someone who did nothing wrong.
This is why I remain cautiously optimistic. Pros doesn't have the slam-dunk they need for a conviction, so they need to play cute little games. Kyle has the law, the facts, the evidence, and the support of nearly half the voting population.
nick and crew said juries are exceptional reptile brains so that must be the case.
I can't tell if you're serious or shitposting.

No yeah, realistically I wouldn’t want him in that situation to begin with. From what I’ve heard he’s apparently sick with guilt over all of it, which makes sense. I genuinely think he’s a good kid.

I'm caught up with today's hearing and not having Nick and 4 other people sperging helped. It seems to me that now we're getting into the meat of the trial prosecution is reeeeeeeeeeeeeally grasping at straws, which I'm pretty sure we all knew Binger would be doing anyways. I'm still not fully sold on Richards. His cross comes off as a little meandering. Mr. Clean seemed more put together than him yesterday. Granted this is the second day of trial.

Lawyers in the thread, help a con out. Is it normal for on cross for the lawyer to not try to address what the other lawyer was arguing? It seemed to me like Richards completely disregarded what Binger was saying so he could form his own narrative. I will admit that I was listening at 2x speed just to catch up so I might have missed something.

It should be regardless. Never let the state get away with anything.

Richie McGuiness cross is going to be interesting as hell. He's basically a free defense witness you get to ask leading questions to.

Hopefully he's going to say Kyle had to shoot that guy, I'd have done the same thing. He was cornered and rosenbalm was trying to take his gun, everything he did was reasionsble. Concerned citizen Kyle just trying to put that fire out.
