US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

So this is how America would wage war on itself: vaccination requirements to work. Meanwhile, the country that started this pandemic is getting off scot free while pharmaceutical companies make money and libertarians selfishly refuse to enact public safety.

I just want to be able to make a living wage, FFS.

Yeah life can suck like that

Some insane cope from r/politics lmao

How does this headline even make sense?

Everyone will become an independent contractor. Problem solved, fuck the vax.
Someone at my company actually asked about this, but at least in the federal contractor rules, the requirements trickle down to every subcontractor too. It’s insane.

I have never been more grateful to work in an very conservative field, at a very conservative firm, and even more grateful that recruiters have been hitting up my LinkedIn once a month for the last year and a half despite the fact that I have not tagged myself as "looking for work".

I don't see my company giving a mandate, but if they do, I don't have to stick around and I know for a fact I'm not the only one who feels that way.
Same here, I get hit up by recruiters constantly despite not being tagged as looking for work. Most people who oppose the mandate at my company are already looking for other jobs.

It absolutely applies to employees who work from home. They expect you to be wearing a mask inside your own house and get a random swab up your nose. It's a form of making you self-flagellate for your heresy. It's even better that you are "choosing" to do it to yourself. It's a form of Ritual Humiliation.
Not even the more stringent federal contractor rules require masking at home. They do, however, require jabs for fully remote employees. How did they do that? Some tricky legal definitions where “covered employees” count as part of the workplace even though their homes, where they actually work, are not considered “covered workplaces“.

Speaking of federal contractor jab rules, that deadline was originally December 8th, but appears to be pushed to January 4th. Allegedly only to align to the OSHA deadline and totally not because it is a logistical nightmare that companies are struggling to work through. My company has revised the religious exemptions form and removed questions without notice and I am sure we are not the only ones operating like reeetards with this.

Simple. McAuliffe should have called for a true forensic audit with no BS like Abrams did against Kemp.

He won't, and Youngkin should make a push for one imo. Strange how Dems aren't the ones screaming for one, but complaining about this.

This sound ripe for some ambulance chaser to take on as a class action. It's a definite win, especially as far as sub and sub-sub contractors; I mean they get away away with using illegals, even on secure military installations, so this vax shit shouldn't apply to their precious border hoppers.

That's what my white liberal friends keep telling me: I'm too stupid to realize that the Republicans are racist and/or I've been "tricked by their lies."
Ever try explaining to them that they're basically calling you too stupid to know better because you're black? That by being a condescending racist, they're acting the exact same way that they accuse the republicans of acting?

Bonus points if you ever make an overt comparison to the concept of "The White Man's Burden".

They aren't even waiting. This is an accelerated timeline for sure. Not surprising though given:

Probably expected a dominating victory on Tuesday. But since Dems are spiteful and hungry, ram that shit through!
Basically! Here is how it was supposed to go.

Biden leaves, for another 'successful' foreign trip proving he had the foreign chops and keeping America's image on the international stage. Conveniently, means they don't have to show him. During this time, the infrastructure bill finishes going through congress, either hitting the filibuster (and providing ammo against Republicans) or somehow passing. This allows Biden to return right on the heels of a Virginia victory where it was billed a referendum on his Presidency. Either reaping political capital awards by signing off on the bill, or using that supposed updated mandate to browbeat Republicans in congress. Followed by using that referendum to establish the mandate.

Then Biden shit his pants, the Progs killed the bill, and Virginia (Which -definitely- was meant to be cheated it was not a 'surprise' it was going to be cheated) went so far towards the R it was impossible for the cheating to work.
Nothing went right.

When the results in Virginia and New Jersey came down, I was initially hopeful, as I saw it going one of two ways:

1) The electoral raping in D+10 and D+16 states would set off MAJOR alarm bells. Much like the alarm bells that would be set off in the GOP if the VA/NJ results were replicated in TX. It really looks bad. With that referendum and clear message sent, they’d see no choice but to back off the mandates to stave off full party collapse. They could even try to spin it to look like they were doing their due diligence to avoid looking weak (“well, we considered it, but after exhausting study and consideration, we’ve decided it’s not feasible. Just working hard to end this pandemic by considering the options.”)

2) They double down and go hard, and bring about all the misery that would involve.

All this^ does, however, is give an opening to republicans to campaign against the mandated vax, and be popular in doing so. They can use broadly appealing arguments like “I’m pro-vaccine, but decisions involving your health should be entirely the choice of the individual in conjunction with doctors. The government has no right to force this.” Basically, the republicans mount a campaign to bring in anyone who opposes this and supports personal/bodily autonomy (legitimately, unlike the harpies who want vax mandates but no limits on abortion). Imagine Trump vs. Harris and Trump says “on day one, I will rip the OSHA rule in half on national TV.” Pretty big opening, no?

I have no idea what they’re doing, or what strategist is advising them in this autism, but this is why I am cautiously optimistic and don’t see these mandates as being a forever thing.
CNN is advising them. No, seriously. They actually are, it's who they are using for their political analysis and polling.

Apparently some Twatter mapmaker made a map where if the white working class vote swung as hard as it did in Virginia to the 2020 map.

It's getting interesting folks.
Yah, that looks about right. Though keep in mind that Virginia was a special case of stupid with outright campaigning against parents.

Yeah this, the Dems do not fucking want a true and honest audit in Virginia, because it would reveal things about Fairfax county that the Dems do not want revealed.

Anyone that puts politics before family or friends gets what they deserve.
A better way is politics should go hand in hand with family and friends.

The real issue is tolerance and how much is someone willing to tolerate someone else's bull.

I can handle being buddies with a Tim Pool centrist in this current era but some progressive retard whose source of news is the Daily Kos, well that is not happening.

When Jill Stein was auditing Michigan in 2016, they were finding massive things in Detroit. So much so that the Clinton campaign and the DNC pressured her to call it off, while also increasing Trump's margin.

Federal defense contractor

I work for a large defense contractor where a significant portion of the production workforce isn't vaccinated and doesn't want to be. A bunch of anti-mandate employees I know are actually still playing chicken, watching the company and gov't sweat as they miss both the exemption submission deadline and 2 out of 3 possible vaccination deadlines. Most of us filed for religious exemptions though, and everyone who submitted got a case number. We've been sharing our case numbers among each other to get an idea of how many are refusing, and so far the highest I've seen was 11,196.

They simplified our religious exemption form after a couple days too. The office drones in general seem really eager to comply with the vaccine and mask mandates, so I'm guessing they were shocked by the number of exemptions they received and realized there's no way they could possibly scrutinize a fraction of them by Dec 4th. When first released it was a purposefully-labyrinthine 4 pages long with multiple essay sessions, it required a letter from your "religious leader," and indicated there'd be two interrogations by an HR panel to get approval. Now it's one page, a letter is recommended but not required, and there's no mention of one interrogation let alone two

I've noticed RCP hasn't done any real updating at all this week.
Probably busy scrubbing anything to do with the NJ race from their website, their final average was something like 6 or 7 points for Murphy. Which was, obviously, hilariously off-base.

:Edit: For the record, RCP's final average for the NJ governor seat was 7.8 Dem, the actual result(lol fortification lol) was 1.6 Dem.
