I think the consensus is that he was probably fully legal to carry. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out in court though.

I expect that weapon shit is going to get dismissed before the jury deliberates. It's pretty clear that it doesn't apply to him. I think there might be a strategic reasons to give the jury a misdemeanor that the could convict him on if you think the prosecutor made a decent case for Kyle being in a place he shouldn't have been but the shooting being ok. However, things don't seem to be going that way to me.

Today will be interesting. It sounds like the prosecutors most favorable (in terms of disposition towards him) witnesses will be today and Monday, but I can't imagine any of them are going to come off as very credible. They all have obvious motives to lie on Kyle. McGinness (total stranger) and army man (with Kyle but didn't know him) seem to be the closest thing that he has to a disinterested witness and they were extremely favorable for Kyle. What do we have next, girlfriends of guys he shot and the person who has a fiddler crab arm now? I'm sure they will come off great

Do I think Rittenhouse is an idiot? Absolutely. He was 17 and should have not gone out with a rifle. That's where the prosecution should shift the reckless argument to. Kyle should not have been there, should have known what could happen,

Having the girlfriends of guys he shot, I guess the prosecutors who wants to get Kyle will have to coach them to not pull a Rachel Jeantel.

If and when the jury will said then Kyle Rittenhouse is not guilty, I'll replay that old Downfall parody clip where Hitler is angry then George Zimmerman was not guilty.

I don't know enough to comment on that, but the reason Roseyposey was out and about that night was (theoretically) because of the no contact order she had against him. She may feel like she was the reason he was out there and thus the reason he got shot. I know a couple people IRL who are dumb enough to think like that were they in her position.

Not to mention the witness from yesterday actually created an opening for the defense. Like "You said he was a calm and good man. But yesterday we heard he was a disruption to the protesters was aggresive and what not. don't you think you are remembering wrong? And if so may we speak about his criminal past?" Of course this is my amateurish view of this nonsense. So far the jury should know by now that Pedobaum was a walking bomb that was bound to explode that night. Not even a little bit, and people need to stop thinking that Kenosha is some honest quaint small town surrounded by cornfields. It isn't. Kenosha is effectively a Milwaukee suburb, which itself is effectively the northernmost suburb of Chicago.
