I guess I should rephrase. I don't believe it's a constant thing with Trump being an absolute masterclass politician with some kind of truly incomprehensible master plan. He can though, on occasion, pull some fucking great moves.

If there's one skill Trump seems to have transferred over from reality TV, its figuring out what makes people tick and how to drive them against each other. He's not much of a unifier among the political elites, but by god does he know how to get those people to hate in such a way as to get him what he wants.
