I do wonder if asking for credits is his way of "managing" his gacha addiction? Instead of blowing all of his money on gacha and having to scramble to pay for new titles (since Game Pass can only do so much), this time, he gets his paypigs to buy the games for him, thereby saving him the trouble of having to pay for the games. All the while still allowing him to blow all his money on gacha.
He uses a lot of different coping mechanisms in order to play around his addiction. Another thing I suspect he does is rely on the superchat/Youtube payouts to pay for most of his bills, because those payouts are the only instances where his bank account accrues more than $1000 at any given time since he dumps the tips immediately on gacha/booze.

If Phil set himself up as a 501c3 then that might count. Or if OIC is a close relative of his then 15,000 isn't taxed and the rest gets paid by the creeper. Otherwise his store credits are entirely income he should be including on his taxes and he is doing it the entire wrong way. He should be getting tips that go directly towards the games so they can count as a business expense. When getting gifted this way, the amount of the gift counts as taxable income and there is no deduction for expenses. So the only thing here that I can see is either Phil is trying to evade taxes or he is a moron. Both equally possible
I don't know how he set up his business or what he claims, since anything that comes out of his mouth can't be trusted. I'm in the camp that DSP is just absolute moron who thinks he's smarter than he really is which is why he uses the general "got muh bills 2 pay dood." I'm 1,000% in firm belief that, despite what he claims, if you removed all the furnishings on his "mature adult business," that it's a house of cards waiting to fall apart if the IRS ever started to sniff around him and his business.

He set it up as a sole proprietorship so I think its schedule A on the tax return. He is 100% a moron who thinks he is smarter than he actually is and fortunately for him, the IRS is not going to bother sniffing around his finances to see how much he is not reporting or anything like that. And Phil will claim that he is following the rules because the IRS isn't auditing him

As a non burgerland citizen I'm not that familiar with how the IRS operates.

The local version of the IRS in my neck of the woods usually don't really go full bore into the big fish as these people can afford lawyers and their finances are usually complicated enough to make it hard work to go after them. From time to time they however will go after smaller fish because they can actually make a case stick here.

So my question is: What are the chances that someone in the IRS get's bored or thinks Dave would be an easy win so they can look good?

And as always thanks for your insight with these things Piece of Peace lite.

Not likely that they will go after him. Since he was smart and has actual CPA's filing his return, the obvious way the IRS would be notified of Phil has gone (being bad math. Lots of IRS problems come from people using bad math and it sets off something in their system). Now he is on their radar for not paying taxes and is on their payment plan so its not like he is completely unknown but as long as he keeps paying that massive debt off and paying his taxes to whatever he claims, then he isn't going to be reported too heavily.
What you also have to realize is that IRS agents are not autists like us and aren't as good at tracking financial information of Phil like @Piece of Peace is so the amount of money that would be involved in trying to get him in trouble and collect extra tax dollars is frankly, not worth it to them. The way to look at it is like this- Phil might be scamming them out of maybe $1,000 a year in taxes for the next couple of years. It would take $40,000 dollars (estimate, you can put whatever ridiculous number you want for the few government employees needed to be put on this case) to put someone who has declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the past and has incredibly difficult wages to grab (He spends the tips at an insanely fast rate whether its on gotcha games, gin, door dash, etc) and it can't really be garnished because its coming through tips. So as long as Phil isn't ridiculous in his expenses (like claiming he had 120,000 in income this year and 100,000 of business expenses), then he will continue to pigroach his way around this landmine

When he is homeless and begging for money on the side of the street, he won't have to change his speech at least. He already sounds like a homeless man begging on camera
DSP on the side of the road: HAAAAALLLLP!

*Car pulls up*: Here's some money sir, use it to clean yourself up & stay someplace overnight.

DSP: Fuck you! it's MY money now. I'll do with it what I want, you have no say in it. So go fuck yourself. Idiot! Snort

Not sure how it is on USA but in Brazil, usually when a bum begs you for money, if instead you offer to purchase them food, most of them will say no thanks and probably cuss you off, so that's a very realistic scenario.

Tax agencies get pissy when people avoid paying taxes. Most businesses get in trouble because they don't remit the right amount of taxes, sometimes this is because taxes are complicated (how much do you pay on imported goods you plan to sell? How do you claim deductions on imported goods for company use?) Most times small sole proprietors just don't want to pay.

With Phil it's tricky because he's not selling anything, there's no transaction ledger to follow. It's much harder to figure out. As long as he pays income taxes he should be okay.

Basically. In the US, they typically hold signs saying "Will work for food," with the understood implication that they're asking for spare change. So the American version of your scenario involves you calling their bluff by offering them a paid job on the spot, but the reaction is very much the same.

It's pretty much the same everywhere, 9 times out of 10 they want money to feed their addiction.

The caption on Leanna's new post is interesting:

" hangen.out When you work over 40 hours a week and wonder why you didn’t become a sugar baby while you were still young enough to do it. 😭😂"
That's cute because that's exactly what this little piglet was.

Ironically DSP was too much of an alpha male when he told the hospital to not mind her histrionics and just pop a pill in her next time.
