I'm a little rusty on the Leanna lore but I believe the hospital incident was the straw that broke the panda's back.

If it wasn't Champions, it was one of the several precursors already tied to "framing" Phil, you know, by his own admission on video he played the games, that classic frame. So Marvel Future Fight, WWE Supercard, or whatever other gambling addict hole in his life he kept funneling cash into the monetary black hole event horizon to try and forget he was bearded up with someone who makes you want to be deaf when they use their vocal chords can be switched in on the timeline if he hadn't started his Champions spending.

Dear leader is trying to emulate the function of the defunct lolcowiki which used to be a life saver for lolcows who were prolific enough to generate their own orbits around them like Phil, sad it's gone now since we could both currently use it to clarify the lore timeline on when Phil got dumped compared to the gacha whale timelines for accuracy, but if it wasn't this gacha, it was another one almost just like it enough to be the same effect anyway on his personal relationships, for all intents and purposes.

Pandalee is not the brightest or the most charming person. That's for sure. But beyond her stupidity, I think there is great potential. Because unlike Phil, she comes off as a normal person, not a delusional sociopathic lying beggar addicted to candy crush but with sweaty man jpegs. Not only would it be glorious if she started spilling Phil info, which seems more and more likely to happen with each passing day, but considering she seems to be doing better and being more fun these days, she could easily pivot her situation into a more succesful Youtube career. She was as close as you can get to pigroach. If she launched a youtube channel with a series like "Telling my story: Living with a pig (part 1 of 3)" she would easily make bank. Probably not a sustainable business long time because her own asshole person would eventually surface, but hey as long as it works.

Ask the king 67 (Aug 24, 2017) has him talking about Champions. And it doesn't sound like it's something he recently started playing. He probably started playing it when it came out (jan 26 2017).

One of the smartest things Leanna ever did since meeting Phil was escape the autism vortex under her own power, something people with advanced degrees find themselves incapable of doing in some cases. The only change he's ever made in response to difficulty is to increase the frequency and intensity of his begging and it's his VIEWERS that are expected to go the extra mile. He's never invested money to increase the quality of what he puts out. When was the last time he put one bit of effort of any kind into his content 'behind the scenes' and outside the time he spends actually streaming? He won't even download system updates and shit like that on his 'own' time.

It's also the chief way he responds to any kind of constructive criticism, which is to take it to some absurd extreme. Somebody the other day said during his 'state of the stream' stream that, 'It's you that has to change'. He responds by saying, 'Okay, so you want me to dye my hair, style it all crazy, dress like a clown, and scream at horror games like a little kid?' Yeah, that's exactly what he was saying, jackass. It's such a pathetic way to dismiss any kind of suggestion that HE do something to change apart from just asking for and expecting more money.
