Plagued rDrama.net - Reddit's retirement home / landfill

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
The community is doing what, really, no other reddit community has successfully done. They set up a reddit alternative for themselves that hasn't been overtaken by any group or other.
Difficult to be infiltrated when everyone in the group's a post-ironic exceptional individual who is obliged to exaggerate their behavior and statements explicitly for the purpose of the group's culture. You can't disguise yourself the identity of a group who does not know how to identify themselves beyond, for a lack of better words, tomfoolery. It just makes you look like just another one of the fools - but it also gives actual fools the idea that they can join and be in good company.

Their lingo is way too exceptional and cryptic for me to ever bother posting there but the amount of seething they manage to generate is immaculate. I wish them the best.
And not the colour format scheme?

I think their site is a good attitude to MATI being exceptional behaviour. Internet is not srs bsns. But the people who take it that way and get baited over it will always be funny to laugh at. Rage streams are some of the best lolcow streams for content. And showing up these idiot hack journos for what they are, copy, paste, dilate dummies is also very funny.

And?

Shit, they are after us! Anyway, when lolcow responds to kiwifarms, their thread length usually gets squared. Let's see if the same holds out for communities.

i liked the commitment to shitposting that sub had, most times i had no idea wtf was going on in those threads but the vibe was funny, some places need to exist to fill that very specific niche of the internet, the kind that just annoys and pisses of everyone.

Also, the reddit sub had its own tranny janny with a coomer sub of its own pictures. u/TrappySaruh

I was an r/drama regular (under a completely different, deleted account name, so don't bother trying to look it up) years ago, back when they had a cwcki forums-esque attitude. They were focused mostly on how much they could riff off the incredibly exceptional bullshit that Reddit is known for. It was basically the Reddit equivalent of the Private Villa of Corrupted Citizens. It was actually a super fun place.

But over time, like the rest of that cursed site, it slowly metamorphosized from a clownpilled honk zone into "oof sure are a lot of gross yucky trump supporters around here lately, what is this the_donald 2.0? yikes". That's why they started """ironically""" sperging about bussy and how gay they all are. It was this incredibly autistic attempt at chasing away the eeeevil conservatives. Well, it worked, but it also had the side effect of turning the subreddit into an ideological clone of Twitter: simultaneously boring, pathetic, and repulsive. Everyone left and now it's just another sad Reddit echo chamber brought to you by whatever Shareblue calls itself this year.

I told myself I wasn't going to comment on this thread again because I'm a part of the subject and not an observer, but this has literally got me offended enough to defend jannies. Go to any /r/redditalternative site aside from ovarit (which redditors will still call righties) and try to find a site that isn't overrun by all the rightoids that reddit blocks. It's a simple fact that if you let people post freely, you're going to get overwhelmed with people censored in other online spaces. /pol/was literally dominated by leftists before Ron Paul posting breifly took over and then it's been right people because they can't express themselves on most sites without getting piled on by other people/censored/banned whatever.

Even with the tendency to agendapost-label right agendaposters, rdrama is heavily right leaning. I say this as a guy who tries my hardest to be empathetic and evaluate different viewpoints. I hate to defend pizzashill and their likes but they are underrepresented on the site. The other side of the coin is probably that culturally "left" people have shifted to calling speech harmful and hating people for even giving a platform to anyone who disagrees, literally a trait of the right 15-20 years ago but we swapped. So thoughtless leftoids refuse to say anything funny and have been reduced to hot takes on twitter as the edgiest thing they can do.

I guess my ultimate point is: we (if I can be arrogant enough to talk for the userbase) are fine being a sewer, but it has to be a funny sewer. Terminally mad righties are no less unfunny than terminally unfunny lefties. Fuck with all of the blatant agendaposting, but rightoids are the overwhelming population that is willing to even make an account, so they get hit with it predominantly.

Does the fact that you are essayposting in a rage about some liberal takeover of a forum that is obsessively labeled by AHS and other woketarded adjacent communities as “cryptofascist nazis” and the like not tell you something
