Never really followed this guy's lolcow career much but I'm old enough to remember the site well and the 4chan animefag split. The community he created, regardless of what it became, was a very unique site that made the early internet a place worth visiting and obviously helped forge the wider internet culture we all know today so I can always appreciate him for that.
