I think so far it's gone better than expected for Kyle.
Prosecution have painted themselves to be real assholes. Somewhat incompetent. Flustering and blustering and not putting forward any meat and veg of why Kyle is guilty. Floundering and then fluffing up their arguments and boring the jury and fucking off the judge. They are unlikeable. Contemptible, and not just in that way that all prosecutors are probably seen when they are 'just doing their job'. They are flailing and failing to hit the target.
Judge seems to be on Kyle's side in as much as he's not on the prosecution side, which he is genuinely pissed of at and would probably smack down more if this was not such an important show-trial. Prosecution knows this, and has got "BRAZEN" with the judge. Judge has still remained impartial within this light though, he may not like the prosecution (who does?) but he's not overly favouring Kyle's team, either.
Kyle's team have taken the gambit of 'giving them enough rope to hang themselves'. Sure they could have objected more (IANAL), but on balance, I don't think the badgering and bullying by the prosecution achieved what it wanted to, even when handed free reign.
There has been at least two star witnesses so far in defense of Kyle and his actions: Grambo and Foto Gump! Love 'em or hate 'em, both very believable and real characters, with a certain amount of integrity - more than the prosecution has shown, more than Great Cross has shown with his lies and his one fake tear he was able to muster. He should have got a bit of the old sympathy vote, but real recognises real and real eyes realise lies - he's also unlikeable and even though he brushed up good, he's still a scumbag at heart.
Having said all that, there's probably more reasons why Kyle should be thrown to the wolves than there is for him to get a fair trial.
Or rather, there are two really big reasons why he will be thrown to the wolves and not get a fair trial.
First one, many people have commented on better than I could ever explain, but in a nut, Kyle must be seen to be made to pay for having the temerity and insolence to think he can defend himself according to the constitution in Today's Commie America. Antifa are the new bully boys who get away with murder. This is why they are calling for Kyle's head on a stick. If everyone behaved like Kyle, their little plan of bullying the populace in to submission would fall apart pretty fast. That can't be allowed to happen and the people who fund Antifa et al can't allow that to happen. This is why this show-trial is happening and why so much rides on it.
Second one, if Kyle did happen to get off, then there would be a new shit storm. And everyone is tired now, they don't want more riots just as they are recovering from the last ones. We are in a new world and MOB RULES. So from the other end of things, while things are already probably sewn up from the inside and the fix is in and Kyle will be found guilty no matter what; there is the matter of not just Jury Intimidation, but the likelihood of riots to consider. So just throw him to the wolves - it's not fair, but who cares if one cherubic looking young lad gets to spend the rest of his days in jail (because if he is found guilty it needs to be a hefty sentence to appease the MOB) if it saves another city from burning. Right?
There is a third factor, and that is that good will prevail and for once might must not be seen as right, because the right thing needs to be done here. Justice must prevail, because if it doesn't, that will cause an even bigger shit storm in the future. While I have no doubt a tantrum by Antifa et al would be initially more upsetting, I think it would die down fairly quickly after they are allowed to throw their toys out of the pram, get a bit of quick looting in via BLM, and all go home in time for tea having proved their point. The only counter aspect to that is how much the powers that be fear making a very blatantly wrong moral decision over this. There wouldn't be mass riots, there would no throwing of toys out of prams, but it would provide the final proof and put the final nail in the coffin of the illusion that the constitution means anything any more. Arguably, along with certain other amendments, the right for an American to defend themselves on American soil is one of the most sacrosanct.
It can only go one of two ways. And if it goes in favour of all but burning the constitution and the American flag, well, there will be another kind of hell to pay for that, not now, maybe not tomorrow, but certainly not too much further down the road. And if Kyle is acquitted it will be for that reason only, not because America is still the once great and just country it always was, but because they fear another, greater type of shitstorm that will be sure to come.
We don't know how it will go.
But the decision has already been made, to a very large degree.
Even if Kyle wins, this was never a fair trial.
And all the incompetence and unlikeability of the prosecution, along with the fair mindedness of the judge, count for little at the end of the day.
Who knows, maybe the jury will sway it in the right direction. Rate me optimistic along with retarded, I know.
