I think calling Jim's life up to this point 'perfectly fine' is extremely charitable. The troon thing didn't happen in a vacuum, he's been building up to this for years as he hit up every other stop on the degenerate's sight-seeing tour.

I don't believe Jim is as fucked up as he claims he is for pity points, but I don't think he's been normal for a long time, either. One thing I am certain of, however, is that it's almost all his fault.

We should have predicted that the bar for what's acceptable as "trans" would get lowered and lowered when kids kept faking illnesses like OCD back in the peak of Tumblr. Thus allowing Jim to fake being transgender.

Ironically, nothing was more autistic than self-diagnosing yourself as autistic for attention so that ended up being more a self-fulfilling prophecy.

As someone who has been in-and-out of therapy, I can't even think of a program that would have you undergo six hour sessions.

You're supposed to fit therapy around your life so you can work your shit out without interrupting, well, your life if you're in therapy for six hours a day, how the fuck can you even work a day job? By that point you're not in therapy, you're committed.

Worse than him claiming OCD is claiming CPTSD. You know the type of person who has CPSTD as compared to regular ol plain everybody now has it PTSD? Prisoners of war. Slaves. People who were human trafficked. Concentration camp survivors. People in solitary confinement for too long. You don't get CPTSD just from being, say, a solider in a warzone or a rape survivor.

I'd like to think that. Part of it is because of his friend circle now too. He chooses to be trans now because it makes them more accepting of him. But I think with a bit more of a healthier outlook and lifestyle he'd still have some part of his brain not converted into ham fat that says "You do you, but I'll do me".

I wouldn't be so optimistic but I think you hit the nail on the head saying this is just some kind of way of shifting blame and trying to justify his horrible lifestyle.
