Just FYI, even when his victims turn 18, they can still file a complaint. Depends on the state, but a lot of places now the statute of limitations clock doesn't run out until they hit 30. In some places, the clock doesn't even start until they disclose the abuse, so James could very much still be on the hook for what he did.
@AnOminous could probably tell us more, but the DA could prosecute even without the victim filing a complaint, if they've got enough evidence without her testimony. Since James was nice (stupid) enough to plaster his confession all over the internet, maybe they can grab him without making her relive the abuse. Of course, Nick Bate did the same thing, and it took his sister speaking up to get him arrested. The thing I'm worried about is child molestors don't stop on their own. They have to be stopped. James is probably searching for another real life victim now, if he hasn't already found one.
