General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Should probably bring things into perspective: V-Tubing has always been incestuous as shit, and it's nearly always benefitted from it purely from a product standpoint (definitely not from an opportunity standpoint). There are 65 million women in Japan, but of the 30 members of HoloJP, more than half of them knew at least one other person who went on to join Hololive or Nijisanji, and the overwhelming majority of them come from the same pool of NND talents. This isn't a new thing, and it's also a perspective only people like us, who actively look for and discuss past lives, are even aware of.

Miko and Pekora were friends before joining Hololive, Korone and Okayu too. According to others in the thread there are even deeper connections with other members!

In a way, this is a thing outside Japan too considering how many workplaces hire people based on whether they have someone inside vouching for them or not, which is why they end up with spoiled retards getting jobs they would never get otherwise just because they have the networking to get in. In Japan it is even worse, if you're antisocial over there you're fucked, they have the highest adoption rates in the World with company bosses adopting proteges as their sons to keep the company in the family, that's how deep those bonds run over there!

Expect a bunch of kettle jokes because people suck.

Extremely unprofessional and at the same time even if she gets the 5k subs, it will be people who will just sub because they feel bad and not because they care. For the most part these same people will never watch her content.
Does Pika herself mind the jokes? I swear, they are on every single clip of hers and she even asked people to clip certain moments of her in the past so she is clearly open to clipping at least lol!

That nigga is also clearly burned out and not caring anymore, but it's noticeable he doesn't want her to get canned despite hating the boss. Shows some compassion for the poor girl at least!

Nina just hit 100K on stream while playing Getting Over It. Her and Millie were having a really lucid conversation about their own expectations of themselves, as Millie is feeling a tad uncertain of herself and her content.

Nina basically advised that doing things she doesn't want to do, or chasing trends, probably isn't a good idea. She said she should get ideas from her chat about games, but also ribbed them a bit by saying 'Sometimes chat will give you shit ideas' which caused them to jokingly unsub from her. A friend dropped by her home and gave her some champagne.

Fair play to her. I'm still a little hesitant of her, and her games aren't often for me, but she practiced what she preached and found an audience who watched her massive Darkest Dungeon streams and it worked out for her. Hoping Millie and Reimu will find their 'thing' too.

So according to Calli, the TTRPG is having some cast changes. I wonder who's dropping out and/or coming in.

The punchline for this is impossible to translate but somehow they managed to get by with a wood pun. I kneel to Holo translators.

TL note: Matsuri is asking people if they're feeling good (元気 genki). At the end of the episode she encounters a Donnie Darko spirit thread thing connecting everyones head to a giant tree. This giant tree is presumed to be some kind of metaphysical origin (元 gen) tree (木 ki) from which all beings originate.

No, there is no context for this. It does not make sense in Japanese either. This is just the most plausible interpretation.

Imao, the new model look better. Her old one is even more generic and that weird big eyes are uncanny as hell.
First thing that came to mind when I saw the new one was - is this another "to love ru" character?
It goes way beyond just a 2.0/3.0 facelift that most get. Not a fan.
Anyhow, this is personal taste territory.

P.S. This original design worked miraculously in 3D too.

If someone told me that Nina would hit 100k and be the most subbed in her gen back when they debuted I would have laughed at them. That said the whole "mommy/ara-ara" vibe seems to be very popular. Hell now that I really think about it from both Niji and Holo EN branches apart from her there doesn't seem to be a vtuber with that personality. Most of them fall under the bratty kusogaki type.

I really like the big eyes and cutesy face matched up with the large tits and wide hips. It is very Itou-esque.

>Asmon rolls on Aether
>gets mogged by relentless crowds of weirdos
>Pekora rolls on Gaia
>gets mogged by relentless crowds of weirdos
>Irys rolls on Crystal
>has a good time while fans watch respectfully from a distance and only jump in when she's doing a world quest

Crystalchads stay winning

I don't look at this thread often, but you have obligated me to shitpost.

Goddamn Crystalfag enablers.

Also slightly more OT to justify the post: Curious as I was, I really couldn't put up with watching more than 10-20 minutes of the stream. Way too scuffed from the start of the intro for the sake of in-game opsec, which IS a necessity, but there should've been a bit more prep work put into it. Maybe Irys could've made the character ahead of time, gotten the intro out of the way, and then conferred with, say, Ina to make sure she hides the most telling information from her HUD off-stream and then started from there.
