Encounters With SJWs/Tumblristas Offline or In Unusual Communities

College is a beautiful place. I am quite literally sitting next to a young woman arguing with someone over the phone right now about white privilege. Some choice quotes:

"everyone has a third eye. don't disrepect me. it's not my job to educate you. look it up."

"you have a third eye. i'm sorry to tell you but it is true. shut up and stop being disrespectful of my views."

*starts reading facebook post about white women experiencing harassment and sexual assault in India*

"this cracks me up because white people cant experience racism."

"i shouldnt have to apologize for the color of my skin." "are you fucking kidding me? people of color suffer this everyday i cant believe she appropriates our struggle."

"they went through this one time and they're bitching and moaning about it."

*starts arguing with person on the phone*

"you just proved my point. you just proved my point. you literally just proved my point."

"shut up and listen to me, dude. this isn't a conversation."

It's like goddamn nails in my ears yet I can't turn away. I just hope she doesn't realize that I'm laughing at her and not my phone.

This right here is the most annoying thing about SJWs. There's that "we need to talk" that really means "I want to talk. At you." They have that sense of entitlement and absolute certainty that you only otherwise see from religious fundamentalists. I only wish we could have known what was being said on the other end. I don't think I would have been able to hold it together without either hanging up or mocking the shit out of that nonsense.

She said a couple of things that made me think that the person on the other end might've been her significant other. If so, she must be a damn good lay for them to put up with that kind of crap because it was obvious that that person was fighting her every step of the way.

At the pet supply store where I work part-time, I swear these two regular customers are straight out of tumblr. On the surface they're just a weird lesbian couple, but I wouldn't be surprised if one (or both) of them used fake pronouns. Whenever I ask if they need help finding anything, the fatter one always gives me the stink-eye and looks me up and down. Likely because I've addressed them as "ladies" once or twice, who knows. It's extremely obnoxious how they push their relationship in everyone's faces. They're constantly holding hands, which is fine, but I've caught them making out in the aisles before. They wear the tumblr uniform too. Pink and green hair. Leather fetish harnesses, enough "kawaii" pastel bullshit to make anyone puke.

The worst part is that they never even buy anything. They'll spend hours in the leash and collar section AND TRY THEM ON. One time the skinnier girl hooked the other to a leash that she hadn't yet purchased, then they walked around the store before leaving. There were kids around and everything, I was completely dumbfounded.

Ugh. That sounds annoying as fuck. How old do you think they are?

What's funny is that the people who created the "You can't be racist against white people" would disagree with her logic. They say that you can't be racist against white people because they have the majority of power in this country. Whereas in India, it's the Indians who do and not white people (Well, at least not anymore). So according to them, you CAN be racist against whites in India. Not to mention that India has a serious problem with misogyny. What an insufferable and idiotic cunt.

Ah, but you see America is the World, and the World is America (at least on tumblr), therefore no other races are capable of racism anywhere. And if something happens that would be considered racism if it happened to a PoC, it is in fact justified if it happens to a white due to (insert ancient history, the person themselves has to be racist, etc.).

This is absolutely true. The one time I encountered what would now be called a SJW was in, natch, creative writing class. Someone had told a polish joke (what's polish foreplay? *mimes sticking finger up nose, motioning towards the other person's nose with the corresponding finger on the other hand*), and the proto-SJW (this was the early 1990s) threw a fit. The guy who told the joke was incredulous, "What are you offended for, are you Polish or something?!" and the SJW was like "No, but I think we should be evolved past that" or words to that effect. I remember being completely floored at this early display of "PC" by being offended vicariously for someone else. Of course I'm older and more mature now, but when I think of SJWs, I think back to that individual back then. Overall, that lady was not a nice person.

Having Polish relatives, every single Polish joke I've ever heard has come from them.

SJWs have taken Moving the Goalposts to new heights of abuse in their quest to be Always Right Forever™.

Also reminds me of one time I found what was probably the SJW with the most common sense I've ever seen. It involved a story where there was someone in Japan making fun of white people IN JAPAN (not America or anywhere in the West) for some reason in some way. I forget exactly how or what, but then Tumblrinas were LOLing that white people in Japan were offended, making fun of their 'white tears', etc, because reasons. THis one "sensible" (by comparison) SJW said, it was stupid of other SJWs to assume that America is the World literally, and thus it was wrong of these other SJWs to assume that it was "wrong" of white people in Japan to be offended, because the racial dynamics in Japan are NOTHING like the ones in USA, and there is NO SUCH THING as "white privilege" in Japan, and "People are projecting American racial dynamics on countries that are not America AND I WILL NOT HAVE IT."

This sounds like one of the idiots that thinks there's such a thing as "white privilege" in countries where whites are nowhere near the majority and who assume America is the World and that things that they think apply in USA apply everywhere. By their own rules and what passes for (somewhat inconsistent) "logic", if Whites are not In Power, they do not hold Institutional Power, and thus they do not have the Power to implement their "oppression". Thus, by their own rules, it's Punjabis and Bengalis that are Actually Racist, and it's impossible for Whites in India to be racist. Sounds like this particular SJW forgot her own side's "rules" and moved the goalposts so that whites could be considered "Privileged" in a country where white privilege is not even a concept, let alone a thing.

Sounds like the guy on the other end should have hung up and stopped dating this chick. No amount of "good" crazy pussy is worth that.

That was probably a future ex-SJW. Actually thinking through the ramifications of your opinions isn't welcome among those tards.

At least if they take it to the natural conclusion which is that there's absolutely nothing wrong with Japanese making jokes about weebs in Japan any more than there is making fun of people in general. Making fun of people is fun.

The sense that I got of it was more like, they think it's wrong to make fun of "marginalized" groups, regardless of who or where they are, and that Whites ARE marginalized in Japan, so it's wrong for SJWs to mock whites in Japan for being offended at something a Japanese person or two or three said that was demeaning to whites/weebs/white otakus. They're self-aware enough that they might come out from the other side of the looking glass someday, it's like they're not quite there yet, but there's hope.

A feminist chick once at my class threw hot British tea on me for "being a Nazi, cis scumbag"

Her reason: I was wearing a shirt with the German state flag on it (AKA the war flag) and I refused to take it off when she said it was making her uncomfortable.

She got suspended for 3 weeks, and I got treated for burns at the hospital, pressed charges... And she got a year probation.

She dropped out after the 4chan/Tumblr fiasco as according to her "it mentally scared her"

They may be marginalized in that specific society, but unless there's something else going wrong, they're in the vastly privileged class of people who get to decide what country they live in, and living in Japan is a choice. Not many white people are forced to live in Japan.

So they should have a sense of humor about it.

The only problem with that argument is that many (often non-white) people choose to come to the Western Democracies, but then claim they are oppressed. Nobody forced them to move to those countries. The structure of their entire concept collapses in on itself when examined critically and in depth.

So, a tumblrite confessed her affection for me and used the term lithromantic when I turned her down.

I'm not sure whether I'm more disappointed that I had to hear that term in a real life context, or the fact that I knew what it meant.

Easiest way to get rid of a SJW admirer: Tell them you're an ableist cishet shitlord and unable to change, and that you voted whatever passes for a right-of-center party last election. ;)

The definition of "racism = prejudice + power" is only valid for institutions. In other words, a racist organization has to have some degree of power to actually cause institutional racism. This is different from an individual being racist, because an individual doesn't require power to be racist. The "white people can't be racist" thing is a confused mishmash of the two. It's also hilarious to take this to its logical conclusion, which is that whether someone is racist may be entirely dependent on where they are. By the SJW definition, the most rabidly bigoted KKK member imaginable could stop being racist without changing a single opinion by setting foot in Zimbabwe.

The thing about the power + prejudice idiocy is it also for some reason doesn't apply when an ethnic minority does get some power.

Lutfur Rahmen anyone?

Yeah, because they're engaging in Moving the Goalposts™. It's like they thought they came up with the Best Argument Ever, because no matter what anyone disputes, they insist they're always right no matter what, even if what they said 5 seconds ago directly contradicts what they said 5 minutes ago. I think I saw someone refer to it somewhere online as a "Heads I win, Tails You Lose" argument.

Archival tools are your friends. They will delete their history and deny they ever said what they said if it's inconvenient or embarrassing to them. If you look at the early parts of the Brianna Wu thread, before people wised up and archived/tweetsaved everything, it's a wasteland of deleted tweets.
