I hope that contract driver didn't lose his job or get reprimanded but knowing Amazon he probably got fucked over for this. Thanks a lot Phil.Isnt the most likely option that the driver was being a nice dude since (as Phil said it was heavily raining) he put the package in some place out of the rain. Phil being the idiot that he is couldnt find it and called Amazon. Im sure the driver got a call from Amazon so he had to drive all the way back and move it to the front porch so dumbass Phil could see it. I find that way more likely than the driver randomly deciding to steal a package.
I know the UPS usually puts it on your front porch or in the space between the screen door and actual door, not sure about Amazon or similar services. Generally speaking if someone is home they'll ask you to sign some papers basically saying it got delivered and leave, if you aren't home they'll leave it there with either some form or do something themselves. You're up creek without a paddle if you're away and it's delivered and no one is home and you have no neighbor you trust to take it for you of it is delivered. This is America and plenty of shitheads will steal people's packages just because they're there.A question to any Burgerland dwellers: In my country most if not all parcel delivery services give you the option (via both SMS and email) as to where they should put a delivery if you are not at home when they come free of ant extra charge, isn't it the same over there?
