I agree. A lot of people at Harvard who would never have watched a show like I Am Jazz are going to have Jazz forced down their throats and will watch the show very critically.
I believe that the conclusions they draw will not please Jeannette. I don't think she's going to be able to perpetuate the fiction that what she has done to her son is appropriate or legal.

I don't mean gross like the Kevin Gibes Expanded Universe, I mean normies act like being fat is contagious and like fat people are inherently dirty.

Just fat? In my opinion a stunted puberty, a brain that's not developed, multilated genitals & being unable to enjoy sex & romantic relationships is way more isolating than being fat.
All that's not readily apparent to the average Harvard student (unless he or she has watched the show); weighing 300 pounds at age 21 is....
Here's my analysis of the family:
Jeanette clearly has a cluster B personality disorder. I think there's pretty good evidence she has borderline personality disorder by how poorly she regulates her emotions and how she uses her kids (especially Jazz) for validation. One really creepy example was when Jazz was nervous about posting her song on instagram and Jeanette basically forces her to without validating her emotions at all (No "why are you anxious about posting it" or "if you don't want to you don't have to"). Jazz afterwards tells Jeanette she loves her and Jeanette says "tell me that everyday" in a manner that made my skin crawl. In fact you could probably make a drinking game for every time Jeannete does something creepy, intrusive, or humiliating to Jazz like the penis party.
It is also very common for Borderline mothers to become "stage moms" i.e Jeanette McCurdy's mom or Joan Crawford. Instead of acting however Jeanette is choosing to go the activist route which has bonus points for its moralistic value. There is a lot of evidence that BPD is transmitted from mother to daughter and when we look at Jeanette's mom its clear that she has some serious issues. Some good evidence is her asking Jazz about her sex life or saying things like "aging is ugly". Jeanette's insecurities also clearly stem from Jackie, as seen from when Jackie said her first words to Jeanette were "if nothing else be pretty" a la Daisy from The Great Gatsby.
Sander also has self esteem issues which is common with children of borderline mothers. I think a few seasons ago he messed up an egg flip on the show and now almost every week on instagram or Tik Tok he posts a video of him doing an egg flip which screams low self-esteem and that he can't handle making mistakes. Like seriously Sander no one cares that you messed up an egg flip. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if Jeanette made a big deal out of it which made Sander more insecure about it. The constant Tik Tok and instagram posts are him searching for validation.
Believe it or not there is a lot of very good evidence (close to a centuries worth of research) that intrusive domineering mothers and absent fathers lead to homosexuality in children, however this research often gets censored or pushed aside. Greg is very often busy with work leaving the kids with emotionally unstable Jeanette which clearly traumatized Jazz. In Jazz's book Jazz mentions that Jeanette had severe postpartum depression after Jazz. This issue was probably exacerbated by the twins close bonds, making Jazz feel excluded from masculinity leading her to identify closest with Ari. Aside from being fat and stupid, Jazz can't socialize. He collapsed because he had to speak in front of school and called the whole family to tell them he was overwhelmed. Either because he really felt that way or because the show scripted that, that's what he has learned to be normal.
Most of his classmates don't have time for this bullshit. Jazz needs constant attention and needs to be the center of attention too. When he can't have it, he locks himself up to eat.
Some kids can't handle being away from home for college. Jazz is definitely the type that needs to be close to his family. Send him that far away was a mistake.

Well, if he's genuinely away from his family for the next season; at least we'll finally see how long he'll last without his mom's influence.
Plus, socialization shouldn't be that hard to pick up if he's willing to learn through trial and error...And manages to grow out of his childish mindset.

That would be true for most sheltered 21 year olds who are away from home for the first time.
But she's not a sheltered 21 year old who's away from home for the first time. She's a sheltered 21 one year old whose emotional development has been stunted by puberty blockers, traumatised from what she's been through, constantly subjected to media attention from a young age, emotionally and physically abused by her mother, is apparently dealing with chronic pain, had her sex life and potential for any romantic relationships stolen from her and has also ballooned up to a deathfat weight from a binge eating disorder. I hope she does ok but it's unlikely.

I watched the exulansic commentary on the season 7 trailer.
Jeannette said something like "I would take changing dirty diapers over THIS (adult children at home) any day!"
this is a universal trait of narcissistic mothers. They prefer small children because they are cute, you can manipulate them, and if all else fails you are physically bigger than them so you can overpower or neglect them if they are inconvenient. This makes the mother feel powerful. When children start to develop a separate personality from their parent, it makes the narcissist upset. Have heard of many remark that they get "bored" of their own children after a certain age or size, and try to get rid of the older ones (like tess holliday did) or simply have a new younger child to care about.
I also suspect that most people who find their adult children insufferable would feel really guilty about it, like they had failed at parenting.
regarding the thing w/jazz needing a therapist letter & other shit- I highly suspect jazz was committed to an impatient institution, if only temporarily. All the illusions to "rock bottom", the extreme distress being displayed despite being heavily medicated, and the weird requirement from harvard (if real) leads me to think that jazz went to the nut hut for a little while. I don't know why someone overwhelmed with negative emotions wouldn't contemplate suicide here and there, it is some tough shit and the problem itself leads people to think of suicide. It is almost a eventuality for a certain level of distress. Many people end up staying in acute psych wards for 3 days or a week because they want to maintain safety and make a care plan. Maybe it was worse than that, but I doubt we will ever find out. Being locked up with crazy family members cannot help, many people found themselves suffering from mental illness as a result of lockdowns. You can tell that even admitting to mental illness and being fat is something that jeannette fucking loathes about the situation, but she will show the bare minimum of what is happening if it means more attention via TLC. That is probably why they have to shoehorn all this gay shit about sander learning to love lady dick, to fill the time that should be allotted to finding out wtf happened the past 2 years. I really can't see some kind of weird stagnation where jazz just eats all day and jeannette doesn't freak the fuck out about it. for two years. Some shit went down that hopefully will be spilled in a book deal in the future. I would pay good money to read that.

Coincidentally (or not?) another famous Harvard troon, swimmer Schuyler Bailor, got a year’s deferment from starting her freshman year as she was at an in-patient clinic for bulimia. It’s during that time that she trooned out.

I find it interesting that with all the breakdowns Jazz seemed to have, the only person who went over to hug him was a producer. Mom was looking annoyed, brothers confused, Ari over it, Dad thinking “durr” and all left poor Jazz hysterical with a producer hugging her.

I've actually thought that Jazz is an exception to the rule that most troons should detransition. Her medical history is so unusual that she'll never be able to live as a fully formed adult of either gender, so if she's more comfortable staying a "woman", so be it. It's a world of difference from someone who attained puberty and adulthood as a normal male and could conceivably go back.
