I can't help but point out that while social media has been running as hard as it can with the narrative that 'if he's not black then he's not guilty' in the justice system, the two most notorious 'acquitted (but they totally did it)' cases in modern memory are black men: OJ Simpson's murder trial and Michael Jackson's sexual assault trial(s). It doesn't matter if you feel they were innocent or not, ingrained culture has held since the trials that OJ killed his wife and Michael touched little boys. An even more recent example is Cosby getting out of prison despite everyone deciding he was totally guilty. There is by contrast no example of a white man I can think of who was obviously guilty as sin (or society believed so) but got acquitted despite that. The closest thing I can think of is the Casey Anthony case which was a white woman, not man.

I'm not here to accuse any of the above of being guilty, I just wanted to point out that the narrative isn't just not supported by facts, it's directly controverted by them. Police brutality (killing suspects before they get a trial) is a totally different subject than what happens once they get to a court room. It's also not at all race based and thus the entire BLM movement is based on a farce even before it became about looting cities every night for fun, but that's really going off into the weeds.

Kinda felt bad for the prosecutors too. They did the best they could with the evidence they had but they couldn't prove Casey Anthony killed her daughter. Plus it didn't help them that her parents and her lawyer were able to raise enough doubt about the killing by showing pictures of her daughter opening the back door and climbing into their back yard swimming pool where Casey said she drowned.

I watched the entire Anthony trial and I didn't think much of the prosecution in that case, but as you say, they didn't have much to work with. Casey's stonewalling and erratic behaviour actually bought enough time for the elements in Central Florida (which are no joke) to destroy most of the evidence. That said, those prosecutors look like Perry Mason and Atticus Finch compared to Binger and Fatlock.
