I'm going to try to attempt from any amount of PL, but I worked on a campaign years ago for a different referendum in a totally different sphere (medical MJ) and this isn't unusual at all, regardless of the morality of it.

Russ's absolute hardest job achieving his ridiculous goal (if he really were trying to accomplish it) is going to be collecting enough valid signatures to even arrive on the ballot in the first place. The best way to get those signatures in a state setting, even for something like MMJ, is to pay people to get them. We paid $1 per valid signature statewide and we still BARELY got enough signatures. Russ seems to have some idea of this, but even if he weren't dumb, he's already YEARS too late even if his scam networking marketing donation idea took off. Even if you throw a billion dollars at some referendum like this, it still just plain takes a whole lot of time. Someone could donate him a lotto jackpot tomorrow and he STILL wouldn't be ready for 2024
Thinking about it, I suppose this model could work (I assume based on the link that it does, as something similar to mailers, i.e. it could raise a lot but would cost a lot to do so), although it would never work at the scale Russ-hole is envisioning. It would likely take, at the very least, a small call center or something, since no one with actual fundraising experience and contacts and whatnot would touch something like this with a ten-foot pole.

I don't know...
Thirty percent to the person who calls, and who knows how much Russ skims off.

What would he actually do with the money he raises (totally hypothetical, I know)?
He won't actually raise any money, but scam PACs are a dime a dozen, and are honestly pretty interesting to read about. I know a guy - definitely not a friend - who ran a pro-Trump one years ago. He basically just ran some Facebook ads and raked in money from boomers, most of which went to his own pay for running the PAC.

In some bizarro universe in which Russ was serious, he'd be paying for people to gather signatures and for consultants to do things like polling, ads, etc.

He probably bought a mailing list for cheap that's outdated
This is almost certainly the case and, cheap or not, it's yet another ridiculous expense for someone failing IFP. Really hope they go through his financials with a fine-tooth comb in post-judgement discovery when he claims he can't pay.

again as someone who as a (state house, nothing of grandeur) campaign manager gained access to voter databases with a lot of current to the time data, this is true. but honestly, i don’t even think he has that, because how often has “make prostitution legal” been an actual referendum for there to be much voter data? i don’t know, it could be yearly, but i highly doubt it.

" Each lead comes from a list of people who belong to political parties that support our cause. Other leads come from lists of people who have donated to political organizations in the past."

The most charitable interpretation is that he's got a list of people who have donated libertarian in some way. The more likely is that he's got a list of people who have donated to any party and just assumes they support his 'cause.'

Finding the appropriate point of contact.
So... no list of a million "hot and ready" leads?

There is no set schedule and we're very flexible. Our goal is to outreach between 10-50 organizations a day
So... not 500/week? Or even 200/week?

Since this is volunteer work, this will be unpaid.
So... not $100,000+/year?

Be a college graduate or be a current student who is majoring in a related field (politics, sociology, civil rights, law).
Why would this possibly matter? Why do I feel like the actual requirements are, "8+ out of 10, single, female, with a toothy smile"?

The ideal candidates will be friendly, tactful and motivated, and they must agree with sex work.
So... not someone who merely wants to sell change for the sake of change? Or looking for "a hands-on experience in working in a grassroots movement"?

Start Date:
Thu, 07/29/21
End Date:
Fri, 12/31/21
So... not "this position would last until the end of 2024"?

I guess this was a rough draft. He posted this before the LinkedIn one, so I guess he didn't get many out-of-state volunteers to do his research/outreach for him, so he moved to Plan B of local, paid interns..?

I'm trying to untangle the thought process here, always a risky proposition with Russ "Gaze not into the Abyss" Greer, but is it just me or does this seem particularly haphazard and weird even for him? There's clearly no plan here, but what was the reasoning (or rather, impulse) behind posting to UCLA first? His only connection to California that I'm aware of is his birth family. Did he think he'd get a ton of traction and maybe even some media recognition in LA, and thus get their attention somehow? Like, they'd be all sad that they rejected him once they saw him on the news trying to put a cockamamie initiative on the ballot in another state?

I'm so mystified sometimes, but I know there's some warped logic behind everything he does. Nothing is as random as it first appears, but it always ends up being as exceptional as expected in the end.

even so, as a (minor PL) former certified CLA/PL, you would not fuck this up

edit: neglected the part about them coming from russ’s school, in which case you are correct
You have quite the resume. Former lawyer, former CPA. Last week you were saying that you were an applicant at AGT. Couple months ago you were a future former volunteer firefighter. Do you just make shit up to add credence to your statements?

:chicken:

Edit: not CPA, I'm retard

I do actually know of someone who is a lawyer and CPA at the same time but I doubt he uses Kiwifarms.
Not to worry! I've got you covered. Just remember, now we're going with the "Russ tried to get a mail order bride from Russia, but got rejected because even Russian gold diggers have SOME standards" narrative.
I'm pretty sure those agencies have some criteria before picking their clients. But I can only imagine how Russell would describe meeting her. "She looked nothing like her picture. She looked down on me, like she wanted to literally punch me in the face for being disabled. Then she started telling me how much money she wanted. I couldn't believe it."

He does make shit up, but in his defense, he has to. What achievements does he have to point to? Seven failed lolsuits? A PAC that got BTFO'd by the very people it was supposedly formed for? A restraining order from some random woman he tried to woo?

Russell has nothing, and even if he takes the thread and the Farms down, he'll still have nothing (beyond bringing down an obscure web forum that discusses the mentally handicapped.) He's forced to embellish what he has.

(This doesn't just go for his accomplishments, by the way. He embellishes his failures and his disability too. Most of his failures, and his disability, aren't that serious, but that's not going to stop Gourdhead from making mountains out of molehills!)

I wasn't talking about russell, I was talking about jerkstore.

I may be mistaken, and I don't care enough to go back and check, but I recall that jerkstore has quite a few achievements under his belt. Couple weeks ago I think he did say he had a tryout with America's got talent.

If I'm wrong, mea culpa and all that.

As someone with a 12 inch penis, I hate it when people make up fake accomplishments on the interweb.

I've been wondering: why doesn't Russ just take the internet celebrity route?
He could get a webcam and microphone to go along with his computer. He could stream himself making music, talking about how he composes songs and what inspiration he uses for his lyrics. Sure, his speech impediment will be an issue, but Russ received speech therapy to minimalise the effects of Möbius. To be honest, when hearing his voice, he's understandable.
It's not like streaming won't get him what he wants. He can achieve fame. He can get recognised as a songwriter even if he has to get others to perform his songs, since he's putting his image out there on Youtube or Twitch. He can find "accomodations" in other streamers, who may help cover his songs for free. He can even get women online, I'm sure there are plenty of toothy e-thots for him.
If Russ manages to tone down his narcissism, he could achieve some success online. Instead he just sulks in his room scrolling through Instagram and writing lawsuits.
Russ doesn’t want to start out online, because he doesn’t want to start out anywhere. As he said before, there’s no LAW that says he has to start at the bottom and work his way up. He fully expects to be noticed by the right people and be plucked from the crowd of normies by a lucky break, then dropped into the lap of luxury, Cinderella style. This is the only fate he will accept, because it’s the one his narcissism demands. Narcs believe they are inherently better than others and more deserving, and that other people can recognize this in them. To start out like everyone else is to admit that they are just like everyone else, instead of clinging to the fantasy that they’re terribly special but no one has noticed yet, because everyone around them is jealous or mean.

Cinderella was rescued from her unfair, misunderstood, downtrodden life and was THE most beautiful girl at the ball…not a normal, average girl from a normal family who cleaned up rather nice and saved up for a decent dress and a ticket.

Also I don’t think Russ recognizes internet celebrity as real celebrity. He tends to sneer at things going viral online, and at e—celebs in general. Russ is permastuck in cliches from two decades ago. He believes in institutions as well, like Hollywood. Hollywood is how you get Famous. Suits are how you get Ladies. Flowers are how you are a Gentleman. He has a very set, narrow way of thinking about the world.
Something to consider during the upcoming Holidays,All of us Kiwi's have friends and family and Russell will be all alone having to stalk girls on IG.
I bet the head-tightening will be more audible around the holidays. So many beautiful women on social media, posting pics of themselves whorishly having an arm around a male relative while visiting home. How dare one of the thousands of members of Russ’ imaginary harem make physical contact with a male non-Russ??

His regular raging at IG thots for hugging their dads in photos, commenting that the woman is RUSSELL’S and should not be touching other men, be they relatives or fiances, is one of his most disgusting traits. He had a proper meltdown at that one woman who had a holiday photo sitting next to her own brother. He talks to strange women like he owns them, like he has a right to forbid them to be near other men whom he perceives as a threat.

I enjoy his holidays being that much more rage-inducing.
Why is he advertising in Los Angeles if his cause is for Nevada? UNLV is literally right in the same town as him
Because all the famous hot 10’s live in LA. This PAC is not being done for actual legit reasons…it is merely a vehicle to spread the Gospel Of Russ and let the world know how amazing he is. Gotta get that info under the perky little noses of all the hot starlets, so they know who to swoon for and take up his cause publicly, champion him around as World’s Bravest Disabled Guy, before sucking his dick and inviting him to meet several producers.

Also minor PL, but I have a doctorate in Knowing Things On The Internet from A University and I know that if someone is telling you that you can make 100K at a job, but they live in a squalid flat and eat children’s cereal at all hours, you need to ask why they haven’t jumped on that job themselves.
