If he transcoded it from one lossy video codec to another using handbrake it would lose some of its original data, but 11 MB to 4 MB seems like a lot. This had to be intentional.

60% compression is normal when transcoding from one codec to another codec and especially at another resolution. I wouldn't put this upto maliciousness what can be put down to ignorance. We have seen a preponderance of ignorance in this trial already.

As an audiophile myself, it's more about bad transcodes. An MP3 can be transparent, meaning you can't tell the difference between the lossless FLAC and the lossy MP3. If you convert from one lossy, like MP3, to another lossy, like AAC, you have a significant and unnecessary loss of quality. This is known as a bad transcode. To preserve the quality of the lossless source you shouldn't transcode to a lossy except in the final step.

We are way beyond the prosecution being meant to seek justice for the state. This is flat out political vengeance and wanting a conviction for the sake of it.

Also the defense really needs to get more heated. Throw the prosections and even the judge's arguements back at them. That whole part about "a day of reckoning is coming" should have been turned into: "Yes, it's here judge and it's time to let the house of cards you yourself mentioned collapse."

I will note, I am not yet convinced that it won't be an acquittal. I am definitely not saying either is certain or even likely, but the thrust of the evidence requested is leaning towards Aquittal. The fact they only requested the drone footage now reeks of exactly what it is for the prosecution, desperation. One last effort by Guilty holdouts to convince the room.
