Anyone have any tranny stories with a happy ending?
A decade ago, I worked with an FTM trans, we'll call her J. J was a lesbian (big shock) and basically had grown up as tomboyish as you could think of, with little interest in anything traditionally feminine. She had very short hair, dressed in men's clothes, bound her breasts so they wouldn't be noticible, and wanted to go by he/him pronouns. Problem is, she was 5'4, less than 100 pounds, and looked and sounded like a 14 year old boy. FTM's can only pass if they're at least 5'8 and have at least some kind of bulk on them, or else they'll just look like teenage boys who's balls haven't dropped yet.
To be clear, I had no problem with J as a person. She came in on time, did her job well, and did not talk about any kind of dumb tranny shit at work. She even said her dream was to become a firefighter, which unfortunately, being 5'4 and under 100 pounds, is not a good career path. I daresay she was fairly conservative in her outlook on life, when she talked about politics at all, which was seldom. After all, most men lean conservative and she so desperately wanted to be 'one of the guys'.
That right there was the uncanny thing about her. Most of us have known a stereotypical 'tough guy' who tries to act manlier than he really is, and all of us have seen this type of male character portrayed in media. J would often emulate this kind of behavior, acting tough and doing her best to try and act like how she perceived 'real men' act. Much like MTF trannies who know nothing about how real women behave and only have a vague idea of how women act through movies and anime, J was just acting out this 'ideal male' persona as much as possible, thinking it helped her pass. Let me tell you, when a 5'4 woman who sounds like a 14 year old boy starts acting tough, it just comes off as comical and kind of sad.
Oh yeah, and she drove a brand new Ford F-150 at the time, which she absolutely could not afford at what we were being paid, but Real Men drive big trucks, don't you know?
Our work involved a decent amount of physical labor, but nothing that I couldn't handle, even though I was in my late teens and had never lifted a day in my life. J worked out a LOT trying to increase her upper body strength, but even working as hard as she could she could not lift anything heavier than me.
This story has a happy ending. A few years later, J finally realized that she would never be a man, no matter what clothes she wore or what pronouns she used, no matter what car she drove or how she acted. She went back to using female pronouns and became a normal butch lesbian.
I can only imagine that if this story happened today, J would still be a tranny, still be trying and failing to act male, and still be trying to be someone she wasn't. And every twitter tranny would be telling her how strong and valid she was (at least until they found out that she hated weak shitlibs, at which point of course they would say she had internalized transphobia)
