Do you know what EVPs are? Electronic Voice Phenomena, people claim it's recordings of dead people speaking. It's usually creepy voices mumbling/whispering unintelligible things. What people do is they say what they think it says, and then you'll start hearing the same thing too. Even if the supposed ghost voice isn't saying anything understandable.

Ideally we could have an informed electorate of virtuous self sufficient people that all have triple digit IQs and aren’t distracted, bribed or mislead. But that’s not the case. At all.

Democracy works by manipulating public opinion towards certain outcomes, it’s just not as overt as a king saying “do this” and people obeying on command. With a king-all responsibility falls on him. In modern Democratic societies blame is always passed around, is it the people, the bureaucracy, certain interest groups? No one has to take the buck.

So bad policies are never acknowledged, and the system continues on because if you dupe enough of the people there are never any consequences.

And even after all that, people don’t actually get what they want anyway. They are given the illusion that their real feelings and interests will be represented, but they aren’t. No matter who they elect or if they refuse to vote.

A monarch takes all blame, all credit, and can act without public opinion(manipulated or otherwise), and has a vested interest in the prosperity of the state-welfare Queen shibiah doesn’t. Jack Rubinstein the banker who is a dual citizen has no interest in anything but robbing the treasury.

A monarch protects against this.

A monarchy is like mostly any other government. A perfect republic, a perfect communism, and a perfect monarchy would be ideal, but none of those things are possible in reality. The only option is to seek the form of government that is the least disastrous when it is far from its ideal.

I support this motion, because such a thread would be somewhat fun to participate in, but on the other hand while the trial is in recess it's that or doomer posting, cat posting, or pizza posting. All they have left to make their case is convincing the jury that when Kyle was vaguely moving at one point, he was pointing his rifle at Zeminsky or whoever and thereby "provoking" Rosenbaum's attack, thereby invalidating his right to self defense when he shot Rosenbaum. Everything else they might have argued - other than that a manlet like Pedobaum couldn't possibly be threatening - collapsed during testimony.

So without that video they have nothing upon which to rest a claim that Kyle did anything to provoke an attack. Making it impossible to claim that the shooting of Rosenbaum was unjustified, which is what they need for anything else to truly stick.

I didn't get to watch a whole lot today but I heard the judge say they requested to watch regular and slow mo versions of GG getting shot in the arm and then the drone footage.

I voted guilty so I don’t get too disappointed if it does turn out that way, though I hope he gets acquitted. I call it “happy pessimism” where if I’m proven wrong, I get extra happy.

After all that's happened, I wonder if this is how leftists would have felt with that guy who murdered that Patriot Prayer guy in cold blood. If he went to trial would they be wishing that he gets off the same way right-leaning people feel Kyle should? He killed someone they believe to be subhuman, same as Kyle did to both Pedobaum and wife beater Huber. On both sides, they believe that it was a justified killing, although on the end of the other guy that's far less reasonable given the video evidence of him literally stalking the patriot prayer guy to assassinate him.

Of course these cases are incomparable, what Kyle did was textbook self-defense and what that guy did was outright murder. Hell, I was pissed that he got gunned down, I wanted him to see a courtroom and get the book thrown at him. I honestly believe that either someone in the Marshall's office got orders from high to make sure he doesn't survive or the guy himself knew he was fucked and wanted to go out guns blazing like a good little commie drone.

Yes. I believe he stated he wanted everyone involved in the transmission of the video to the defense under oath as well as an expert in video decoding.

Two options:

They are so high on the smell of their own farts that they actually think that the video shows what they think it does. And that once the Jury sees it, it will be a slam dunk. I doubt they ever thought that, but if they did... they know it's bullshit now.

The other option is that they know that it is so hard to see anything, even in the HD video that they can plant the idea that it shows Kyle raising his rifle and pointing at Ziminski, and that will be enough to convince the hardcore anti Rittenhouse people. They are muddying the waters and know their best possible result is a mistrial. I would have thought this was their view 100% until they for some reason DENIED the defense's motion for a mistrial today. Insane.

Either way, they generally cannot lie as often and as easily as they do without knowing they are doing so. God just thinking of Littelbinger and Lunchbox makes me fucking sick.
