They did hug him when he was crying the night before his speech, they just acted awkwardly because they don't know what to do. No teenager calls the whole family to have a breakdown in front of them. Most teenagers would do so in private because teenagers aren't very much into sharing feelings. If they did, their siblings would laugh at them for being pussies. And, during this episode, you can see both Ari and Griffin close to rolling their eyes either at him or at the situation.I find it interesting that with all the breakdowns Jazz seemed to have, the only person who went over to hug him was a producer. Mom was looking annoyed, brothers confused, Ari over it, Dad thinking “durr” and all left poor Jazz hysterical with a producer hugging her.
Jazz: I HAVE FEELINGS!!
Family: -_-
That's what I meant when I previously mentioned Jazz only knows life through the eyes of a reality show. He needs an audience for all his antics to tell them how he feels and to receive validation and reassurance from them. He expects everything will be solved in a Kodak moment and he thinks that's real life.
