Found a Destiny fan today.

A coworker was "debating" at work. He was insisting that Alec Baldwin had zero responsibility in killing another person. My guy's primary source and inspiration for his argument was Destiny. And he had no time to consider the perspective that Baldwin does vear responsibility; then thought he proved his point and won when I became incredulous when he used a apples and oranges comparison to the Nazis to prove his point.

Afterwards he went on about how he doesn't like to "debate" ethics because that is too deep a rabbit hole and suggested that I should just debate on his terms and not on ethics. I have no fucking idea what this dude was going on about; but he was tying himself into knots to defend a guy that didn't check his gun before shooting someone.

All I know is that internet "debaters" have ruined debate for entire generations of people. They want to go in and win and spike the football and have no interest in learning about the arguments and positions being discussed. I feel dumber for spending ten minutes listening to this guy stroke his ego.

Also, when you just ignore reality, you allow the side talking about it to interpret it. "Race Realism" does not have to be about proving that the niggers are inferior and saying we should send them all back to Africa but a lot of liberals and progressives already bought into that interpretation and reason that if "race realism" is true then their conclusions on what to do with that information is also true. Think of all the activism, all the "movements", all the mindspace taken up in peoples heads about race. Think of all the destruction of race riots of not just last year, but decades before. Think of all the common criminality that doesn't get dealt with, that sometimes ruins a persons life, and makes your society a shittier place in day to day life. Every one of these things is justified if you share the systems current assumptions and their solutions.

Maybe the problems are natural, and need to be coped with, rather than solved. Maybe it's time to stop sacrificing virgins, and build earthquake resistant homes.

Also he's stuck between a rock and a hard place. He likes to shit on alternative media and many times gives "mainstream media" a pass. But in Kyle Rittenhouse trial, you could clearly see that he had no intention of defending them knowing that:
1. NBC made a video where they backtracked on many of their statements after verdict and what they have gotten wrong about the trial (since it was convenient).
2. Was it New york times that labeled Kyle as white supremacist? And later it was found there was no evidence of such, only some vague link to proud boys.
3. Biden, a president that Destiny likes to shill for, called Kyle Rittenhouse a white supremacist knowing it's just a populist talking point & vice president Kamala Harris also criticized the verdict. Pretty ironic coming from an ex prosecutor that put Afroamericans into prison for possessing weed.

I give Destiny full credit for defending Kyle and going up against batshit crazy progressives. But cant help but think that he holds part of responsibility for caused shitstorm by prompting up mainstream media, that has a giant influence over spread of information, and then he wonders why does it create so many brainwashed progressives that labeled Kyle as murderer. He helped prompting up dumb fucks like Hasan and Vaush and then wonders why is the other side so brainwashed. I may be biased but I think Martinez took this one easily. It was shocking how poorly Destiny did, most likely because he didn't take it seriously and, in my opinion, doesn't actually disagree with the central premise that it is occurring.
Martinez opens with a string of quotes designed to back up his point, and Destiny actually complained that citing sources was a debate trick and he shouldn't be expected to under stand them. He also admitted to not even listening to them later on and had to have them repeated.

As far as I could see Destiny didn't even end up debating the Great Replacement was occurring, his stance became that unless anyone could provide the minutes from the meeting of the illuminati that say they are doing this on purpose, there's no reason to believe it isn't just some giant natural coincidence.

He also took the puzzling stance that the thing itself is good, but if it were being put upon the public by a bureaucratic or elite group then it would be bad. So to him it's only bad if it's by design, but refused to believe designs could be made by the important or influential people who were quoted. It was a weird showing.

Nah, I'd say its a stalemate. Anyone coming into their beliefs on the great replacement would've had their mind unchanged. Martinez comes off as a sperg who thinks mere statements is white genocide Jewish conspiracy, which fuels the idea that the great replacement is hysterical nonsense to the liberals. Meanwhile, Gnome Fuck just ridiculed and questioned the subject without actually disproving that the population makeup shift leading to a non-white majority and a drastic culture shift would be a bad thing. Which means GR believers remain unconvinced.
