Of course. George is way too obvious. It'd be like saying whatever the little Teletubby is called is gay.

Edit to add: Plus, from a young kid's perspective George is a girl. Looks it, acts it, is pink, is never called he ... bloody hell. Troonery even back then?

Did Letterman threaten to troon out first or something?

Speaking of British GNC characters aimed at children who are called George, does anyone remember those Enid Blyton books?

No wonder the British terves are winning; troons over there are taking over a proud ancient tradition and trying to make it dumb.

Troids: my biology is oppressing me! Male puberty is literally the devil to me!
Also Troids: You think males can share experiences esp going through puberty that might be uncomfortable and/or stressful? OMG the male privilege!! Men have oppression fetishes!

Slight sperging, but women also get erections too. It’s not as visible as male erections of course. The penis and the clitoris are homologous (originate from the same fetal tissue) to one another just like how ovaries and testes are homologous to wach other (the female and male gonads). Consequently, the clitoris also has erectile tissue and will swell due to increased blood flow. Here is a link to healthline explaining this but be aware that they use troonish language (“vulva owners” and “people with penises”) but the biology is fine.

Also, because the penis and clitoris are homologous, some troons will call their penis their “clitoris” and say that their “clitoris” is “just larger”. This is fucking dumb because the difference between the two doesn’t stop at size, they are structurally different organs that originate from the same fetal tissue (the clitoris does not ejaculate semen , doesn’t have a urethal opening, and is mostly internal).

Yet another reminder that there's no point in trying to appease the troons:

>the majority of you think we're perverted freaks

and if you read /lgbt/ at all, or really any uncensored/unmoderated troon communication, its clear they all view each other that way as well. They even have threads dedicated to "AGPers" who have admitted to themselves and others they only take HRT to satisfy their own fetish. Outwardly they all pretend they are just like you or me, except trans, but anyone who pays an ounce of attention can see its all rooted in perversion and sexual deviancy.

Of course, if you point any of this out as a 'cis', you will be told to go back to /pol/. Similarly, if you present any kind of 'problematic' statistic, or differing view, 'KILL YOURSELF /POL/TARD'. They can only exist in their re-affirming spaces, but even in those they eat each other over minor differences. "youre not a real tranny, youre a hon/boymoder/malebrained/agper/transbian". It's just comical they think there is some hard science to it all.

Oh, and if a tranny dares to point out any of these things, they are told they have internalised transphobia, are self-hating, are repressing, etc.

It’s just swelling, so calling it an “erection” is playing into their hands.

I can't believe I'm discussing Dumbledore being gay in Current Year, but fuck it. I think one thing about this "retcon" in particular is that it gets unfairly lumped in with all the other stupid additions Rowling made to HP canon over the years, but this is actually just as much of a revision of history as troons now trying to rewrite her past as sexist/racist/etc in light of her transphobia. The Dumbledore-being-gay revelation is not part of Rowling's woke twitter retcons, it just got lumped into them in retrospect. This particular tidbit got added to canon in 2007, only 3 months after the last book was released and before the last few movies were. It absolutely was part of canon - it's normal for authors to have detailed backstories about certain characters that never make it into the books, and the Dumbledore revelation was part of a larger set of background details about various characters that she talked about at fan conventions in an effort to promote the 7th book. So this wasn't woke pandering, "woke" was in its infancy in 2007. To put it into perspective, California of all places banned gay marriage a year later. It was just a very different cultural time.

Another thing to keep in mind is Section 28. Section 28 was a UK law that essentially forbade the positive portrayal of gay characters in children's media. This law was only repealed in 2003 - and Harry Potter started being published 1997. That's right, when Rowling started writing the series, her publisher would not have allowed her to make Dumbledore openly gay. Which isn't to say people didn't write gay characters under section 28. They did, and they used some recognizable tropes to signal a character's homosexuality in the subtext. And Rowling was signaling hard with Dumbledore - older man, never married, no children despite being good with children, flamboyant clothing and personality, and an extremely close "friendship" with another man who's also a confirmed bachelor.
I don't nessicarly disagree with you in a way, I think it's pretty obvious Dumbledore was coded gay, but I can tell you- having been there myself- woke was very much present and rapidly spreading and gaining power in places like Livejournal, The Leaky Cauldron, GT, and other online fandom places. It's not a stretch to think the Rowling, who was already left-leaning anyways, saw this political ideology that was spreading through spaces centered around her work and was very much responsive to it and instead of leaving it ambiguous or a small detail, went right into GAY DUMBLEDORE GAY PRIDE FUCK ANYONE WHO DOESN'T LOVE THE GAYS.

CDC reports 42% HIV rate in transgender women surveyed in 7 cities

Four in 10 transgender women surveyed in seven U.S. cities in 2019-2020 were HIV positive, including nearly two-thirds of African American/Black and one-third of Hispanic/Latina respondents, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported last week.

The report summarizes findings from 1,608 transgender women surveyed in seven cities.

HIV prevalence by city was 58% in Atlanta, 33% in Los Angeles, 45% in New Orleans, 52% in New York City, 51% in Philadelphia, 41% in San Francisco and 21% in Seattle. Overall, 89% reported visiting a health care provider for HIV care in the past six months and 90% reported using antiretroviral therapy.

Only 32% of participants without HIV reported using pre-exposure prophylaxis, as recommended by CDC clinical guidelines.

Rofl. The worst is that they're not gonna get wiped by this third world disease. They'll get treatment, which they have to take all their life : so that makes 2-3 years of treatment at most, but still, in a lot of places, these are paid for by taxpayers.

Is flamboyancy/campiness always a signal for being gay now? So every historical character who isn't married, and/or has a court-jester or eccentric archetype is coded gay?

When I read those books Dumbledore was just an old, erudite, somewhat eccentric authority figure, who was also a father figure to Harry, kind of like an odd uncle, who enjoyed some showmanship to cheer the kids up. It's a children's book, but even in adult books its not abnormal for those characters to not have a romantic relationship, they are eccentric after all.

Off-topic but I get mildly irritated with the flamboyant=gay shit - they did that to Storm Spirit in Dota 2 as well.

Edit to add: To be fair, Brit children's TV has always been fucking weird. The Wombles taught gentle ecoterrorism, Bagpuss was Marxism for toddlers, and the only message any kids ever got from The Magic Roundabout was "Drugs are totally fucking awesome."
So the Teletubbies being gay is true?

Can't argue with this logic!

lmao this logic

There's an actual need for doctors, nurses, care managers, and the like, so even if 15%-17% of medical students drop out, there's an even greater number of medical students present to take their place.

No one REALLY needs to transition. Shit, if a dude is fucked up enough in the head to think he's a girl he can either wear a dress, see a shrink, or blow his head off. Also the rate of people detransitioning has actually increased exponentially in recent years, with most of them being teenagers aged 14-19, almost as if those kids were just Tumblr nerds who did it just to fit in in online spaces or were manipulated by peer pressure in order to do so. And several teens in that number transitioned from childhood, with some even having had gender reassignment surgery.

Also, student debt sucks, sure. But I mean, what about the cost for all the shit you need to troon out? Here's what I found on healthcosthelper.com

  • The total typical cost of a transition usually includes: expenses incurred in the year before surgery, during which hormone therapy, counseling and living full-time as the target sex are recommended; the cost of the surgery and follow-up care; and ongoing costs after the surgery, including hormone therapy for life and continued doctor visits.

  • In the year before surgery, counseling can cost $50 to $200 per session, and letters from two therapists usually are needed for surgery; the total cost of the therapy and the letters can range from under $1,000 to more than $5,000 for that year. And hormone therapy could cost $300 to $2,400 for the year, depending on which hormones are prescribed. Typically, it costs a total of $40,000 to $50,000 for a mid-range transition, and that includes surgery.

  • No health insurance? Well, sucks to be you, lol, because it costs up to $15,000 for just reconstruction of the genitals to about $25,000 for operations on the genitals and chest to $50,000 or more for procedures that include operations to make facial features more masculine or feminine. Prices typically depend on the techniques used, with price ranges varying depending on the techniques used, which are different depending on the troon's body type. That's a lot of gofundme money :story:

tl;dr: Medical students are actually needed in society. Troon creatures are not.
