Now, why this is a soft counter, I am... not sure they can. You bring up one good point, but to add more onto it. The weather is getting beastly cold, constantly below freezing at night from now until late spring. And even the high temperatures will begin getting close to it as well. Most of their bussed-in foot soldiers come from the West Coast cities who have much nicer winters than the frozen hell that Wisconsin becomes.


So there is going to be some clear conflicts between what they -have- to do and what they -can- do. The problem for normal people then is that if they do get enough people to riot then... well, the burning is going to be -immense- as a way to simply keep warm.

Oh, quite. It was -definitely- not the intent of the jury, but by putting the verdict on a Friday it ensured a full week of relative peace. This was not good timing for the Democrats.

Though as to if they could keep it going.... I am of mixed opinion on that. You bring up the good counterpoints, but I'd throw in that they keep Donald Trump in the media... practically indefinitely. They can give long legs to their pet issues, and primarily they'd need ANTIFA goons not BLM goons for this. So they -theoretically- have the men and ability to keep them interested, but it's also bumping up against the other issues.

To reiterate because I think it's lost in the shuffle. I am not saying riots will or will not occur. I am saying they -have- to occur if the Democrats want to salvage anything from this.
