God no it isn't sturdy, it's literally a piece of wood, painted, designed to slot into legs. That's usually what gets brought out for stuff like this, either that or water fillable ones - which considering how cold it is, wouldn't have been brought along. If water freezes in those, moving them again is a bitch and a half and they can be damaged.

It’s way too coincidental to think this would happen after the response to the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict, but even then, this would never happen in a normal society where actual vigilantism is in full play.

These sort of barricades are set up along the route to keep people from turning into the parade route and help keep the marchers from accidentally taking a wrong turn. You see them also at marathons. Hell, they might not even be wood, they might be hollow plastic.
