Trump actually very popular among the religious right crowd. I should know I have alot of friends and family in that crowd. Like both my devout catholic grandmother's surpporting him. My strict mormon cousin did. And many more did.
My one grandmother surprised me since I thought she wouldn't like Trump's demaner. But I do remmber her complaining about the late night show host's going too far on their Trump jokes. So I guess some religious people looked at Trump critics and realized that his critics were why worse and more jackasses than him. Also I think alot of religious people see through Biden's "I'm a devoute Catholic" bullshit than most people like to realize. I mean Biden was being endorsed by redditer and Hollywood atheists? How are people post to believe your a big catholic when a bunch atheists like Movie Blob (who despises Christianity) comes out and surpports you.

Because Trump never pretended not to be the guy he is. That's why people like him, and like you've experienced, religious types hate a phoney more then they hate a sinner.

I'm genuinely starting to buy into the idea that the cathedral genuinely want us to own nothing. Shutting down oil, driving gas prices up, while simultaneously encouraging and enforcing people to buy expensive electric vehicles or cheap death traps. We've been beholden to big pharma for years and their influence on politics along with many other macro events that price what could be achieved into the unachievable. It happens at the micro level too. Streaming services, digital purchases, the end of physical objects and the push to digital objects that cost nearly the same amount as the real thing. Even though you spent money on it, they can decide to take it away without refund. We really are in a dystopia, it's an exceptionally boring one as well.

How quaint. Even up here in Massachusetts, one of the few remaining strongholds still approving of Biden (but just barely,) I've been spotting those "I did that" stickers on the fuel pumps more and more as time goes on. The discontent is definitely rising.
