Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

They might fight with each other, but all the food that the big fish used to eat will be available to all those little fish now. There is an opportunity there. All the little fish can eat and grow to equally big sizes or one can come out on top and become the new big fish. That last outcome is no worse than what we have now. The other outcome is even better because all the fish will equals to one another and won't have to rely on each other for security.

How many "new ideas" will just be digging up old ideas that were buried in the rubble when society collapses?
How many little fish will fight and kill each other before "the new big fish" emerges?
(ignoring the fact that people aren't fucking fish and can be absolutely irrational, even to the point of self-harm.)

The alternative is what we're facing now: The big fish realizes it doesn't need the little fish anymore so it eats them and hoardes all the food for itself. All the different kinds of fish that used to inhabit the bowl are destroyed because only the big fish remains. You can't run from the big fish because it maintains an almost omnipotent control of the fish bowl. The big fish will still die someday, but when it does nothing will take it's place. The fish bowl will be empty and dead.

New COVID variant: UK urgently brings in travel restrictions to stop spread of 'the worst one we've seen so far'​

Mutations in the B.1.1.529 variant are likely to evade the immune response generated by prior infection and vaccination, UK experts say.

Britain is bringing in travel restrictions for six African countries due to a new COVID variant that UK experts have called the "worst one we've seen so far".

Health Secretary Sajid Javid tweeted: "UKHSA (UK Health Security Agency) is investigating a new variant. More data is needed but we're taking precautions now.

"Six African countries will be added to the red list, flights will be temporarily banned, and UK travellers must quarantine."

Mr Javid said the new B.1.1.529 variant identified in South Africa "may be more transmissible" than the Delta strain - and warned "the vaccines that we currently have may be less effective".

The UKHSA says it is the "worst one we've seen so far" and has a spike protein that is "dramatically" different to the original COVID strain.

The variant also has 30 mutations - twice as many as the Delta variant - and these mutations are likely to evade the immune response generated by prior infection and vaccination.

But the good news is that B.1.1.529 can be detected with a normal PCR test.

Flights from South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Botswana, Eswatini and Zimbabwe will be suspended from 12pm on Friday - and after 4am on Sunday, new arrivals in the UK will be required to quarantine in hotels.

No cases of this variant have been reported so far in the UK, and anyone who has travelled from one of these countries in the past 10 days is now being invited to come forward for a test.

About 500 to 700 people are travelling to the UK from South Africa each day at the moment, but it is expected this figure could increase in the run up to Christmas.

According to aviation analyst Alex Macheras, Virgin Atlantic had reported taking more than 32,000 bookings for South Africa in October alone - and most of them for the rest of 2021.

Tom Peacock, a virologist at Imperial College London, described the mutations as "really awful" but said cases were currently "super low".

Spike proteins are what viruses use to get into human cells, and some vaccines work by training the body to recognise the spikes and neutralise them.

Mutations on the spike could therefore potentially prove problematic.

But with only a handful of recorded cases - three in Botswana, around 53 in South Africa and one in Hong Kong from someone who had travelled from South Africa - scientists are hopeful it can be contained.

Francois Balloux, professor of computational systems biology at University College London, said it should be closely monitored but "there is no reason to get overly concerned, unless it starts going up in frequency in the near future".

In South Africa, the coronavirus variant has spread rapidly among young people in Gauteng, the country's most populous province.

"Over the last four or five days, there has been more of an exponential rise," South Africa's health minister Joe Phaahla said.

Until recently, the country had been reporting about 200 confirmed cases per day - but this has rapidly increased over the past week, hitting 2,465 on Thursday.

Scientists from seven South African universities are now studying the variant, and are trying to determine how many of these new cases are linked to it.

Ravindra Gupta, professor of clinical microbiology at the University of Cambridge, has warned "there is a high probability" that many of the new cases in South Africa are linked to the new variant.

Just 41% of South African adults have been vaccinated and 130,000 jabs are being administered per day - well below the target of 300,000 set by the government.

The country is currently getting deliveries of vaccines faster than they can be used, meaning that officials have been deferring deliveries so they don't "accumulate and stockpile" vaccines.

World Health Organisation experts are meeting on Friday to assess the variant, which on Wednesday was classed a variant under monitoring.

If it is upgraded to a variant of concern, it could be given a name from the Greek alphabet - and would likely be referred to as Nu.

However, it could also be classed as a less serious variant of interest, indicating it has characteristics that may affect factors such as transmissibility and disease severity.

It could take weeks to generate all the information needed about this variant's characteristics.

To date, the Delta variant remains by far the most infectious - and it now accounts for more than 99% of the sequences submitted by countries worldwide.

Last night I had TG with my dad's side and while I was in the kitchen getting dishes out I heard my great uncle ask my grandpa, "what do you think about our president" followed by some loud angry yelling I couldn't make out.

Whole side of that family is based except for my Blue Dog DINO grandma.

For the last couple of decades, there has been legitimate criticism, by the left wing, of the justice system being rigged against defendants as the Kyle trial has proven. To imagine the Big Kahuna of the GOP, GEOTUS Trump, basically go after prosecutors on FOX News would have been a pipe dream before 2016.

The response by Democrats is basically being given a simple recommended solution and going full retard with it. If there is something I have noticed a fucking lot in Academia, if the answer is too small, that means not enough work was put in it.

They voted for a prosecutor that treated outdated farm equipment as it how it was original used, Kamala Harris, to the point she denied evidence that would have freed a couple and even threw black mothers in jail for minor bull. Binger in this case, basically the epitome of everything wrong with the American prosecutor, basically committed giant violations and got away with many of them, to think how many poor folks he has thrown into prison over bull. And they going after defense lawyers and the judge for basically not helping Binger to throw Kyle into prison, another institution that has been historically hated by them. They decided to stop enforcing laws as they thought this will stop crime, it only increased it hard. They went after the police, only for police unions to endorse the GOP at a high rate, and losing many officers. The only ones left are in those areas, are class traitors that serve the Democrats or the kind of scumbag cops that the Democrats hate but will keep around since they need someone to keep the hordes away from their suburbs. They basically decided that they would not even attempt to change the system, just let it all burn. Malcolm X proven right from the grave about the white liberal. Also a lot of non woke progressive leftists know that as well but they are still a bunch of cucks who get buck broken by the neoliberals into voting blue no matter who.

They really have proven old school wignats correct that it was all about protecting niggers since in the Kyle case, no niggers or sheboons died, and yet they made it all about the niggers and sheboons. Niggers and Sheboons voting for mostly upper class white soycucks and liberals and progressive coconuts, who will never hang in out in the same areas with the first two groups mentioned, to solve their problems, only for everything to get worse. And since everyone involved in the transaction are the most repulsive degenerates in current day America, I just wish to see them all burn when their system just goes down.

I was born in the seventies my friend. The political strife and ethnic divides are worse now than they were then though admittedly I don't remember much of that time as I was too young. Things definitely improved in the late 90s and 00s but ever since then it's regressed to the worse state it's ever been. Race riots from the sixties are back in full force.

Riots literally destroyed entire urban neighborhoods as well as entire cities that to this very day look like something that belong in Fallout 3/4 during the 1960s-70s. It was much worse then.

Nevertheless, hospitals are still murdering people via ventilator and getting more $. 'Covid deaths' that come from things like car crashes are still going to happen, which means that under Pedojoe the winter of November 2021 - April 2022 could be 'worse' in a sense than the winter of November 2020 - April 2021.

The kinds of people who get murdered via ventilator are old and fat, and no one's getting any younger, and quite a few people have gotten fatter....

In New York and other places, the cases/deaths are actually oftentimes higher or about the same as they were on the same exact day a year prior, despite the new effective 'vaccines.'

Of course, but every major city was affected. South Central LA remains a shithole to this day. The Fillmore in SF was cut up and had a freeway built in the middle of it, which resulted in its black population shunted off into Oakland or Hunter's Point. East NY/Brownsville is still a no go zone. Gary Indiana never recovered, Detroit is still struggling as is Newark, Camden never recovered. Chicago's riots resulted in an entire section of the city written off which is responsible for its astronomical murder rate. East St Louis, never great to begin with, also never recovered, St Louis was also wrecked. DC's riots resulted in a slum in full view of the capitol where conditions were on par with the worst of Calcutta. Philly was also badly affected but managed to claw its way back. NYC struggled after the Harlem and Blackout riots, came back and then the cunt De Blasio deliberately created a situation that guaranteed we'd devolve into the chaos of the 70s, everyone is leaving.

It has to get much worse before it resembles that period, and it just might. But we're not there yet.

The auto industry has a huge love hate deal with the electric car. To the point that there was an active plot in the 90s to destroy plans for an "affordable" electric car from being put into production and blackball the designer of said car (which was made into a documentary aptly called "Who Killed the Electric Car" IIRC.

The auto industry would prefer to keep making trucks and SUVs and fuel efficient budget cars since they make more money that way, with the usage of computer shit to let them mark up prices. To the auto industry, electric cars are at best a boutique item for rich folk and not something they want to make the new standard. And in this regard, Musk is largely tolerated because they know he's mainly selling his electric cars to his rich friends and that they aren't a real threat to the auto industry.
