I found these articles pretty interesting for very different reasons. It really seems like the biggest contributor to how awkward dating and relationships are is the changing social landscape.
It could potentially be because of Chad Thundercock, yeah. But the takeaway I get from this is, why risk your health for something that might not work out? Why not just focus on improving yourself for your sake? Doomscrolling has its appeals, but hearing that men are doing their best to live the best life they can and better themselves (as compared to lying down and expecting to be unemployed/alone for the rest of their lives) just gives me hope.
Thank you for linking those articles! They were interesting and kind of inspiring.
Alternatively: Older millenials and some gen Z are now within the median range when most people begin finding success, or take back up hobbies that earlier life (socialising and uni/early careers) tend to eat up the time of. The older Gen Zers are now in their mid 20s, meaning quite a lot have been "in the grind" since 17/18 and are now picking up experience to do different jobs and how to better structure their lives.
Millenials are between 25-40 and again will be hitting that point to launch a business, or gun for that managerial position with their years of work experience, some millenials have built up well over 20 years of work experience by this point in various positions and that shit stacks in life.
I've never quite "got" this obsession of being instantly successful in life when people have left uni or what have you. Things take time, and while having that hunger to do stuff is useful, its utterly pointless if not tempered by experience. My own father was in his late 20s before he found any serious success doing something wildly different from when he started out working and there were a couple of times he nearly veered off into something completely different and would've been a fairly dead end for him if he had. He then wound up founding his own company in his 30s which lasted until he semi-retired in his 50s.
The lack of Gamergate on this left wing pyramid is kind of baffling, since you would think they would include it to appease the lunatic lefties who still badmouth the movement.
The auto industry has a huge love hate deal with the electric car. To the point that there was an active plot in the 90s to destroy plans for an "affordable" electric car from being put into production and blackball the designer of said car (which was made into a documentary aptly called "Who Killed the Electric Car" IIRC.
The auto industry would prefer to keep making trucks and SUVs and fuel efficient budget cars since they make more money that way, with the usage of computer shit to let them mark up prices. To the auto industry, electric cars are at best a boutique item for rich folk and not something they want to make the new standard. And in this regard, Musk is largely tolerated because they know he's mainly selling his electric cars to his rich friends and that they aren't a real threat to the auto industry.
The biggest issue is the electric car won't wear out the same as a fossil fuel one will, and thats why the big three are a tad nerous. The current average car replacement, certainly in the UK, is every 7 or so years. With even an average electric car this pushes out to when the battery begins to really fuck up, so that's about 10 years. Meaning the auto industry has to adapt to a change of 3+ years to production cycles and consumers taking longer to replace vehicles. It's probably why FORD has begun selling the idea of conversion kits to keep older models on the road and making some money that way. The electric motor crate kit proved to have a much higher demand than they expected. It also gives people the option of keeping their cars on the road potentially forever, as they will simply replace the battery sets when they wear out instead of wholesale replacement of their cars. Main way you'd deal with that of course, is make battery packs about the same price as a sedan or whatever for replacement.
Tesla is a bit of a threat to the auto-industry as it proved that electric vehicles were not only pratical but could be reliable too and finally helped prompt a number of nations in Europe (UK included) to ban sale of fossil fuel powered cars from 2040 onwards, giving the auto industry 20 years to play catchup.
For all the issues i have with Yang he seems to come off as genuine like Trump and Tulsi. Bernie used to be the same way but the greed was too much. Can't really fault people for liking these people. Personally i still support Yang's idea of moving departments out of DC and frankly hope it gets adopted. DC would do better by having less feds in town and the rest of country would benefit by having departments in areas said agencies regulate.
If the EPA moved to Flint their issues would get resolved super fast and it would uplift the area. DoE moving to Baltimore would not only improve the city and area around but shine a massive spotlight on the failure of public education.
The UK has begun doing this in an attempt to pop the "Westminster Bubble" which is a term used often disparagingly about people who only talk to other government or media people, leading to a feedback loop of "everything's amazing and fine!" when in reality in some areas of the UK its fucking miserable. The Treasury and a few other departments are moving out of London (much to the whinging of the civil servants) to try and create outposts a bit more connected to the actual people of britain rather than the ridiculously warped perception of London. It would do the central government a world of good.
First, apologies if this has been posted already, but I feel that everyone on here needs to read this dumb gay bullshit. Salon's slamming the copium, the hopium and the dopium hard WRT The Dementia Patient's approval numbers.

"Guiz Presidents always have trouble with their approval ratings, pay no mind to the fact that Biden's is significantly lower than where Obama's was in his first term, the Dems totally aren't going to get utterly shithammered in the mid-terms, guiz. Please believe us! ;_;"
it's fun seeing what the absolute die-hard core vote of the Dems is with these ratings. The fact we know by this point how badly warped the methdology is towards the Dems makes it even funnier. The media's busy screeching "TRUMP WAS LOWER" in a few places now, but the poll ratings are still utter dogshit on what's supposed to be a nice weekend.
This still baffles me. 10 lower than that? She has to be a literal demon.
Didn't want to give this hilarious clip from twitter of Kamala looking like she's drunk and slurring her way through trying to explain inflation. (Spoiler alert, she fucking fails).
